[Kurt is leaning over a counter on the kitchen where he's placed two books: A cookbook and his journal. He dictates to the journal as he lazily flips through the cookbook.]

I think I want to make something. Food. Does anyone have any requests? I'll be in the kitchen.

[He's trying not to think about Blaine, really. The kissing hasn't helped with that issue.]

[But actually... Someone who will listen but not care sounds good. Not that anyone here can be as invested as Rachel is, back home, but the people he's come to know would still hopefully be concerned for him. Crowley... Well, he doesn't see that happening there. He can just let it all go and get out of his head, without people pressuring him one way or the other.]

Do you live in town?

I do, I moved here a few months ago.

It's not as bad as you'd think.

Actually, having one's own place outside of the castle sounds delightful.

...Also, not living with the crowd seems like it would suit you.

After four years, it was about time, really.

And it's very pleasant. Less castle shenanigans to deal with.

Less? How much of the castle magic still effects you when you're in town, then?

On occasion. You can't escape things like world changes.

Like when we went to possibly Japan?

What about losses? Any chance of that much luck?

Exactly.

I've known them to change. Sometimes when a resident dies or gets knocked out for a long period of time. But you can't control that kind of thing.

No one's filled you in on that yet?

People die here, it's always a possibility. But you generally come back after two weeks.
