paradisa | In the ballroom...

[For those residents that find themselves locked in the ballroom, it's really quite a sight to see.

Balloons and streamers and cardboard hearts are strewn all about the room, hanging from the ceiling and decorating those tall, locked doors. But even if the doors won't open, it's not the worst place a person could find themselves.

If you're tired, there is a section of the ballroom where Valentine-themed blankets, pillows, beanbags and blow-up furniture spread out across the floor. The lights are somehow significantly dimmer on this side of the room, allowing for easier sleep.

Along one wall is a seemingly endless array of snack foods, candies, hors d'oeuvre, and anything else someone might want to wish up. There's plenty of room! Nearby, a chocolate fountain stands as tall as the average resident, constantly flowing with delicious chocolate for dipping. Directly beside the fountain is a very, very large chocolate chip cookie shaped like a heart. The cookie alone could feed the entire ballroom if desired. Perhaps as you approach the snack area, you'll find yourself holding a tall, cold glass of pink lemonade.

For entertainment, there is plenty of music, movies and video games to satisfy all genres. Residents are free to wish up whatever they'd like! This is all about having fun with others, after all, and Paradisa's willing to allow (almost) anything to get those bonds forming.

TEAM BUILDING EXERCISE OF THE DAY

In the center of the room is a parachute of grand proportions, colored with stripes of red, pink and white. It's rather large, and cannot be handled by just a few people.

Residents may feel encouraged to run over and help lift the parachute. If enough people can band together and start up a few parachute games, the castle will reward the ballroom.

The reward: The ceiling of the ballroom will fade away, giving the illusion of sunny skies and fluffy clouds during the day, and brilliant stars at night.]

[Aww, Spike. The compliment gets a little chuckle before she moves on with her point.] Then you need not become so either.

I don't think I can pull of legal and pretty...

Perhaps not. Yet I may imagine you becoming handsome and refined.

[Oh gosh!] You really think I'll be handsome?

[For a dragon... She doesn't know what the dragon standards of beauty are, okay?]

[Spike grins, preening his scales]

Well, yeah, that's a given. I mean do you think I'll get more,/i> handsome?

[Got a little bit of an ego there, do you, Spike?]

Certainly. I am quite sure you will mature into am enchanting young...dragon.

[Just a teeny tiny GIANT one]

Yeah, I'm gonna be the greatest. [Then maybe Rarity will go out with meeeee]

[Laughing again.]

You do not lack for confidence, certainly.

A little bit of confidence goes a long way, so a lot has to go for miles.

Yet as with all things, it may be overdone.

Really?

Well, I guess if you hurt your friends...maybe?

[See, Spike. You're smart, you can do this!]

Of course. You must also accept that there are somethings you cannot do. An overestimation of your own abilities may be quite dangerous.

[AKA, playing the hero and running into a situations which will get you killed.]

[If he thinks REALLY hard about it]

Yeaaaah, I learned that the hard way. [Long pause] Twice.

It is a difficult lesson to learn, one with which most struggle. [Including her, but shhh.]

But sometimes you have to try, to keep your friends safe.

As with most things, moderation is key.

I don't know, sometimes moderation can be really boring.

[She laughs] You are young.

Well, I am only a baby.

Then you will have time enough to learn moderation.

Thousands and thousands of years.

[And you have found one of the few people in the castle who would not be surprised by that statement.] It took me nigh a thousand years to learn it myself.

Wow, but you don't look that old at all. Maybe you're like the Princesses, they're always young and pretty, just like you.

[Flattery gets you everywhere]

[It gets a laugh anyway.] My kind do not fade with time as does the race of Men. I am hardly unique in that respect.
