In the ballroom...

[For those residents that find themselves locked in the ballroom, it's really quite a sight to see.

Balloons and streamers and cardboard hearts are strewn all about the room, hanging from the ceiling and decorating those tall, locked doors. But even if the doors won't open, it's not the worst place a person could find themselves.

If you're tired, there is a section of the ballroom where Valentine-themed blankets, pillows, beanbags and blow-up furniture spread out across the floor. The lights are somehow significantly dimmer on this side of the room, allowing for easier sleep.

Along one wall is a seemingly endless array of snack foods, candies, hors d'oeuvre, and anything else someone might want to wish up. There's plenty of room! Nearby, a chocolate fountain stands as tall as the average resident, constantly flowing with delicious chocolate for dipping. Directly beside the fountain is a very, very large chocolate chip cookie shaped like a heart. The cookie alone could feed the entire ballroom if desired. Perhaps as you approach the snack area, you'll find yourself holding a tall, cold glass of pink lemonade.

For entertainment, there is plenty of music, movies and video games to satisfy all genres. Residents are free to wish up whatever they'd like! This is all about having fun with others, after all, and Paradisa's willing to allow (almost) anything to get those bonds forming.


TEAM BUILDING EXERCISE OF THE DAY

In the center of the room is a parachute of grand proportions, colored with stripes of red, pink and white. It's rather large, and cannot be handled by just a few people.

Residents may feel encouraged to run over and help lift the parachute. If enough people can band together and start up a few parachute games, the castle will reward the ballroom.

The reward: The ceiling of the ballroom will fade away, giving the illusion of sunny skies and fluffy clouds during the day, and brilliant stars at night.]

He pauses when she lifts his part up though, giving her a small wave]

[Cole is milling about in the ballroom, mainly wandering around the parachute with his hands in his pockets, eyeing the lump of fabric with distinct distaste.]

This reminds me of those team-building exercises the office used to make me go on when I was ADA.

[Without warning, a thirteen-year-old troll leaps on top of the parachute and gives the red part a great big lick!]

[Dairine, on the other hand, is already sitting cross-legged at the blue section of the parachute. First dibs and all that. She watches Cole with a slightly amused expression.]

It's not gonna eat you.

[fiddling with the 'chute, she turns when noticing a new presence. Woah, that's some eyeing!]

And that upsets you because...?

[Conan looks at the decorations and shudders. This was almost like being back at Teitan Elementary again. He makes a brief inspection of the snack table and retrieves a plate of vegetables and cheeses before locating a seat against the wall.]

[Cole's wanderings take him to Conan's general area. He's looking distinctly unhappy that he can't get out of here.

He nods to the kid.]

Well, at least the castle's put on a decent spread for us.

[At first glance someone might think that the castle has brought an ancient craggy stump of a tree into the room. But come closer and you might realize that he is looking back at you.]

[Cole just waves his hand in front of the stump's eyes. This wasn't the weirdest thing he's seen, but it's definately up there.]

[well this is strange even for him. after checking that the door really wouldn't open, Dextera wandered over to check out the snack table and soon found himself by the chocolate fountain.

he really has no idea what it's for so the mute's just staring at it. this is really strange...]

[W e l p, this is interesting. Not entirely sure if he liked it-- the past few days had been a bit off of him for reasons, and he wasn't entirely sure if he was in the mood to socialize.

...

Who am I kidding? Ted always wants to socialize. It's just a matter of whether or not you're going to end up getting ranted at.

He lingered uncertainly next to the food, waiting until someone tried it. When there appeared to be no ill effects (like sudden, violent sloppy makeouts), he indulged himself a little.

Damnit, castle. He was just getting back into shape, too.]

[ nudge is probably the first person to try something. she looks across at ted and gives him the thumbs up. ]

It's nice to know that the castle is cool with giving us candy for breakfast.

[Murphy, for his part, wakes up sprawled across a few bean bags -- and his hand goes instantly, instintively, for the rosary around his throat]

Christ, not again --

[and then he looks around and realizes he's just plain back in the castle, and sighs. scrubbing a bleary hand over his eyes, he sits up. it won't do him any good to bitch and complain about how he'd fallen asleep a decent distance away, OUTSIDE, in the church ...

so he gets up and plods over to the tables, in his bathrobe, and starts surveying the food. nope. no breakfast]

... Doesn't this place believe in hash and eggs?

[This small child is standing on the tips of his toes as he tries to reach a platter on the table. His plate is filled with the least sugary options available.]

yes, he's not phasing through it, mostly because the castle refuses to be out-trolled and made him solid. it's really annoying.]

[Once it becomes apparent that no one is going anywhere, Galadriel is mostly content to mingle, talking to anyone who looks interesting but not really involving herself in the castle provided activities.

Perhaps you want to talk to her? Or take the opportunity to introduce the elf to television and video games?]

[ Kirby is, quite obviously, at the wall of endless food. He's picking up candy, mostly, and the occasional slice of cake, and stuffing himself silly. He's not really interested in anything else at the moment but trying to sate his never-ending appetite. ]

[Henry found himself in the ballroom and not particularly bothered. Being stuck in a room with people and food was much better than his previous loss. So he mingled and ate and looked around for anyone he already knew.]

[Tom is wishing he knew the spell to open the doors as he sits by one of them. He really didn't want to be here. So he's going to stay away from everyone until he can leave.

[Conan takes a break from avoiding being dragged into any games and circles the room in search of anything interesting. Eventually he decides to examine the doors again.]

Not his fault! And neither is the stray fur he's leaving behind. ]
