In the ballroom...

[For those residents that find themselves locked in the ballroom, it's really quite a sight to see.

Balloons and streamers and cardboard hearts are strewn all about the room, hanging from the ceiling and decorating those tall, locked doors. But even if the doors won't open, it's not the worst place a person could find themselves.

If you're tired, there is a section of the ballroom where Valentine-themed blankets, pillows, beanbags and blow-up furniture spread out across the floor. The lights are somehow significantly dimmer on this side of the room, allowing for easier sleep.

Along one wall is a seemingly endless array of snack foods, candies, hors d'oeuvre, and anything else someone might want to wish up. There's plenty of room! Nearby, a chocolate fountain stands as tall as the average resident, constantly flowing with delicious chocolate for dipping. Directly beside the fountain is a very, very large chocolate chip cookie shaped like a heart. The cookie alone could feed the entire ballroom if desired. Perhaps as you approach the snack area, you'll find yourself holding a tall, cold glass of pink lemonade.

For entertainment, there is plenty of music, movies and video games to satisfy all genres. Residents are free to wish up whatever they'd like! This is all about having fun with others, after all, and Paradisa's willing to allow (almost) anything to get those bonds forming.

TEAM BUILDING EXERCISE OF THE DAY

In the center of the room is a parachute of grand proportions, colored with stripes of red, pink and white. It's rather large, and cannot be handled by just a few people.

Residents may feel encouraged to run over and help lift the parachute. If enough people can band together and start up a few parachute games, the castle will reward the ballroom.

The reward: The ceiling of the ballroom will fade away, giving the illusion of sunny skies and fluffy clouds during the day, and brilliant stars at night.]

Teamwork's overrated sometimes. [still on the fence about whether they're having one; she barely knows what the deal is with this thing]

Only sometimes, though.

[Cole's learned that teamwork with the right people weilds pretty decent rewards.

Being beaten over the head with its value probably won't count. [size of a tent? Smack in the middle of a room? Striking colours? The castle obviously wanted people to make use of the parachute -- those who knew what it was for, anyway]

That's generally what these exercises are made for.

Lucky us. [there's a "not" tacked on to the end that her tone doesn't bother to hide]

[Cole grins, having easily picked up on it.]

Hey, at least we're not being forced to do it. [There's a "yet" tacked on in a similar fashion.]

[makes a face]

So very lucky. [dusting her hands off] That would just make the participants horribly embarrassed when they come to.

[so of course the castle would love pulling something like it, right?]

I would be.

[He eyes the parachute again.]

Wonder what the penalty for not doing stuff with that thing is?

I have the feeling speculation would make things unnecessarily complicated. [it has nothing to do with magic, she just doesn't feel like worrying about what might happen]

S'pose you're right.

...What d'you think we should do first?
squartatore: (17.)

[personal profile] squartatore 2012-02-25 04:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Eat. [...] Not the parachute. But if we really are gonna hoist it and stuff, we should have the strength to do so.

[Sayaka doesn't need someone collapsing from exhaustion and/or hunger on what little conscience she has left]

...

[A pause. He is kinda hungry]

Makes sense...

And the parachute has already been attacked by a troll, so I don't think anyone's going to want his seconds.

[...incredulous blink]

A troll...attacked the parachute?

[do we need a bridgervention]

Yeah, she started licking the red bit.

[He points. It may still be glistening a bit.]

[what.

just...what]

Gross.

Yep. And it seemed to be normal practice for her.

...Just keep any colorful clothing and stuff in your eye-line.
