In the ballroom...

[For those residents that find themselves locked in the ballroom, it's really quite a sight to see.

Balloons and streamers and cardboard hearts are strewn all about the room, hanging from the ceiling and decorating those tall, locked doors. But even if the doors won't open, it's not the worst place a person could find themselves.

If you're tired, there is a section of the ballroom where Valentine-themed blankets, pillows, beanbags and blow-up furniture spread out across the floor. The lights are somehow significantly dimmer on this side of the room, allowing for easier sleep.

Along one wall is a seemingly endless array of snack foods, candies, hors d'oeuvre, and anything else someone might want to wish up. There's plenty of room! Nearby, a chocolate fountain stands as tall as the average resident, constantly flowing with delicious chocolate for dipping. Directly beside the fountain is a very, very large chocolate chip cookie shaped like a heart. The cookie alone could feed the entire ballroom if desired. Perhaps as you approach the snack area, you'll find yourself holding a tall, cold glass of pink lemonade.

For entertainment, there is plenty of music, movies and video games to satisfy all genres. Residents are free to wish up whatever they'd like! This is all about having fun with others, after all, and Paradisa's willing to allow (almost) anything to get those bonds forming.

TEAM BUILDING EXERCISE OF THE DAY

In the center of the room is a parachute of grand proportions, colored with stripes of red, pink and white. It's rather large, and cannot be handled by just a few people.

Residents may feel encouraged to run over and help lift the parachute. If enough people can band together and start up a few parachute games, the castle will reward the ballroom.

The reward: The ceiling of the ballroom will fade away, giving the illusion of sunny skies and fluffy clouds during the day, and brilliant stars at night.]

Haha!! Wouldn't most people?

Uh, em--

The implications of being here for a year kind of get at me more than my birthday does.
inafadingcrown: (It will be a grey ship and full of ghost)

Prooobably.

True enough. It is rare for me to mark the passing of a single year and even I must admit that much has come to pass, particularly for so short a time. And even the shortest amount of time seems longer when spent apart from loved ones.
teds_out: (now when you say 'talking ponies'...)

[personal profile] teds_out 2012-02-24 02:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Pardon me, but, did you just say a year is a short amount of time?
inafadingcrown: (curious)

[personal profile] inafadingcrown 2012-02-24 03:03 pm (UTC)(link)
I did. It is a matter of perspective, is it not?
teds_out: (you actually mean talking ponies?)

[personal profile] teds_out 2012-03-03 06:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Uh-- yeah! Definitely. Definitely a matter of perspective.

[Shi..... is she like, immortal or something? aaaaaaaa what DO.]
inafadingcrown: (Hard as di'monds)

[personal profile] inafadingcrown 2012-03-03 11:50 pm (UTC)(link)
[Got it in one, Ted.]

I will concede, however, that a year here has seemed a great deal longer than many of the thousands I have spent in my own home.

Th-th-thouuussaandswow.

[no, losing composure, must... regain it.......!

[The kind, generous part of her is sorry she brought it up. The trollish part of her is horribly amused.]

Come now. You have been here nigh a year and are still shocked by such things?
teds_out: (ohmegeh)

[personal profile] teds_out 2012-03-04 06:29 am (UTC)(link)
[Kind of standing there with his mouth agape, please wait while we deal with some technical difficulties.......

After a few seconds he might have tried to make something like words, but it just comes out as this sort of incoherent almost whimpery sort of sound.

man, how embarassing.]
inafadingcrown: (curious)

[personal profile] inafadingcrown 2012-03-04 06:36 am (UTC)(link)
[Quite alright, Ted. She'll just chew on a few carrot sticks while she waits for you to regain control of your tongue.]
teds_out: (ex-cuse me)

[personal profile] teds_out 2012-03-04 06:56 am (UTC)(link)
-- Uh, yeah, no, no! Not shocked at all, noooo.

[Good save, Ted.]
inafadingcrown: (Lady of Light)

[personal profile] inafadingcrown 2012-03-04 08:10 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, of course. [She's still smiling, not offended in the least.] Surely, I am not the first you have met who is not of the Race of Man?
teds_out: (yeeeeeeeaaaaaah no)

[personal profile] teds_out 2012-03-04 07:00 pm (UTC)(link)
[Oh good, a topic change.]

Heh.. one of the first guys I met here was perpetually on fire. [He then considers this.] ...don't think I've seen him since, though.
inafadingcrown: (laugh)

[personal profile] inafadingcrown 2012-03-05 07:11 am (UTC)(link)
[She laughs a little] That was quite a welcome for you, I would imagine!
teds_out: (heh)

[personal profile] teds_out 2012-03-06 06:33 am (UTC)(link)
[A little bit of his lingering nervousness shows through his laugh.] Yeah! I tried to tell myself I was drunk and hallucinating. It wasn't pretty...
inafadingcrown: (amused variation)

[personal profile] inafadingcrown 2012-03-06 06:49 am (UTC)(link)
I suppose I should count myself fortunate that my arrival was not a greater shock than it was.
teds_out: (you're kidding right)

[personal profile] teds_out 2012-03-11 05:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah. You're really fortunate.

[really.... really fortunate........... *-*]
