[Katherine can be found in the lobby. She's dressed in plenty of layers, her dress and coat meant to keep her warm as she heads out. To be perfectly honest, she's a bit tired of the eighteen-hundreds, but at least she looks stunning. She opens her journal and sets it out onto her lap, pressing the pages open.]

Would anyone care to accompany me to some ice skating outside? I'm certain the pond is frozen over enough.

[She moves to take the bottle and moves to reach for the corkscrew. She uses her strength to open it with ease and is already pouring the wine to let it breathe a bit before he returns with the food.]

[He made a chicken Frances with a few vegetable sides to round out the meal. He places the dishes down on the table. before heading back to retrieve some plates.]

So tell me about your trip home.

[She laughs a bit.]

It... it was the same as, well before I got here. Mostly. I left off at the same spot. In the car, leaving Stefan with the coffins.

[She paused.] It was as if the castle knew it needed my body to be from the right moment in time for all the memories to slide into place.

It sounds like you got lucky.

[She nods, relief on her features.]

I know.

[alias_savant]

I wish I could consider myself lucky, but my trip home is only making me feel more trapped than I was before.

[Concern hits Katherine's features.]

Not a good trip back to New York?

[He shakes his head.]

I had the opportunity to get off my anklet, back home anyway. But because of another agent who had it out for me, I had to run.

[Katherine glances to him and reaches for his hand.]

I'm sorry you had to go through that.

[he shrugs.]

It was inevitable, I think. I don't think I'm meant to be on the right side.

I don't believe that in the slightest.

I feel like I'm always meant to run.

Where would you run to?

I don't know. Mozzie had a plan in place -- I could only assume we followed it.

[She smiled softly.]

Where would you want to run to?

[He pauses, considering that for a moment, before smiling.]

Somewhere beautiful. Maybe with a beach.

I never pictured you as someone who wanted sand under their feet.

It's not the sand so much as the feeling it gives you. Like you're away from the rest of the world, and it can't touch you.

It sounds nice. [Katherine can at least understand the feeling of being on the run constantly.]

I'm not sure I'd ever be the beach type. [Too much risk.]

What kind of type are you then?

[She thinks about it, sipping the wine.]

The mountains.

The mountains are lovely. I can see the appeal.

Small narrow path, winding up toward a little cottage. Wildflowers growing all around. Not a single cell tower to be seen.
