[Caterina has been using this time to read up on everything she missed while in Paris. Needless to say that came to an abrupt end recently. While she laments losing the chance to read the words of the people she desperately misses, it is also for the best. She needs to move on. It does not take her long to start working out the necessary steps to do so.]

I am Cardinal Caterina Sforza; Father Abel Nightroad's superior. I would like to be added again to your filter and offer my services. I would tell you to feel free to investigate me if you do not recall my previous stay here but, that is now impossible. I will happily refer you to people who can vouch for my identity and character if need be.

[After that filter Caterina is exiting her room. She has her coat with her in hand since putting it on is a lost cause for her. Whoever she runs into on the way outside will no doubt get suckered into helping her.]

[Caterina carefully sets it down. She then brushes a piece of hair framing her face. She is stalling since the answer is a little embarrassing.]

It's unhealthy to sleep like that. I was only trying to help another resident.

[brute_shot_bully]

[He cocks his head and grunts at her, still a little surprised that she cared at all for his well being. At her comment about another resident, however, he frowns and looks around the lobby.]

Who?

[ironlady]

You. [She sighs and turns to go.] In any case, you're awake now so my assistance is no longer necessary. Try to be more conscious about how you sleep in the future. You'll end up living in the Clinic otherwise.

[brute_shot_bully]

[He reaches out to touch her arm to stop her, although not making a fullout grap. He was still trying to figure out why she was being so nice to him.]

Why?

[ironlady]

[Caterina sighs softly.] You are York's ally who is turn my ally. I have no reason not to help you as long as things stay this way.

[brute_shot_bully]

[He freezes at that, keeping his expression carefully blank. He considered himself York's ally, but after all he did he wasn't so sure it worked the other way. After a moment he leans forward and rubs the back of his neck, fingers ghosting over his neural implant.]

Yeah.

[ironlady]

Then you have no objections to it? [She was very candid with him about what her feelings used to be on him. Even if Caterina is half his size, she could hardly blame him if he was reluctant to be associated with a woman who admitted to wanting him dead in the past.]

[brute_shot_bully]

[He puases a moment, and then shakes his head. Nope, no objections. It was't that he was reluctant, but wondered why she was willing. She had every right to want him dead, from what hazy memories he had access to.]

[ironlady]

[Caterina continues on in her usual casual, polite manner.] Very well then. I am going to take a walk in the gardens. You're free to join me if you are up for it.

[brute_shot_bully]

[He pauses for a moment, considering, and then pushes up from the couch. IT wouldn't hurt to move those knees a little.]

Sure.

[ironlady]

[Caterina is starting. She's intentionally walking slow.] Don't be afraid to say something if you get tired.

[brute_shot_bully]

[He just grunts, and wishes up his coat instead of going all the way back up to his room to get it, and shrugs it on.] I'll be fine.

[Wasn't going to get better if he didn't push it.]

[ironlady]

[Caterina sighs.] I hope so. I am in no position to take you back.

[A beat. They are getting close to the door. She has to say something or go in the cold which will raise more suspicion...

The castle gave her a great new loss by the way. ] Would you mind helping me with my coat?

[brute_shot_bully]

No need. [If he couldn't handle a simple walk then he deserved to be left in the snow. :| ]

[He pauses just a moment before taking her coat and holding it up for her. This was some kind of test, right?]

[ironlady]

[Caterina is putting her arms in and lifting up her hair. She is acting like this is all very natural. Revealing her new loss while she was still testing the waters with this man was out of the question.]

You have no intention of overextending yourself?

[brute_shot_bully]

[He feels downright domestic for a moment, and it sort of creeps him out.]

No.

[He never intends on it.]

[ironlady]

Very well then. [She's heading out the doors now. Caterina keeps her coat wrapped shut. She has far too much pride to ask him to take care of the buttons.]

[brute_shot_bully]

[He follows, shoving his hands in his pockets and watching her carefully. Wasn't she going to do her coat up?]

You like the cold?

[ironlady]

Not particularly. [She answers casually. Not so long ago cold guaranteed her joints would freeze up and coughing fits. Now it's just cold.]

[brute_shot_bully]

[He follows along in silence for a few more steps.]

Your buttons ... ? [Just. Curious.]

[ironlady]

There's no need to fasten them. [She's obviously fine.]

[brute_shot_bully]

[He rumbles, then falls silent. Alrighty then.]
