[Sleeping in a bed that wasn't the one you'd fallen into the night before was always a startling realization upon waking, more so when that bed was surrounded by all sorts of tacky decorations in light of the upcoming holiday. However, what proved to draw Rookie from his sleep was not the sudden change in scenery (though that certainly helped), but the fact that there was someone laying beside him that he was pretty certain wasn't there when he had closed his eyes earlier.
Moving carefully, he pulled the pink satin sheets away from his face in order to sit up and let his attention shift from the variety of Valentine decor, to the woman next to him. When seeing that it was someone he knew, any visible tension he might have had disappeared and was replaced instead by a far more calm exterior. Didn't mean he felt all that calm, considering the circumstances, but the familiar company certainly helped.
Which is why he's just going to go ahead and try to sneak out of bed so he can check out their new surroundings, while half-mumbling to the opened journal once he catches sight of it.]
Hope I'm not the only one witnessing the castle's attempts at romance. [He'll pause to eye the candles in particular, wrinkling his nose.] Especially when it's just giving me a headache.
[Although that apparently turns out to be the least of his worries, because after a few more seconds of movement from his side, Rookie suddenly gives off an irritated sigh. One that was quickly followed by a whispered mumbling involving something about 'annoying castle', 'hearts', and 'boxers' to anyone that was listening hard enough.]

Room Filter; Journal closed
Quickly, she realizes that's a mistake. There's enough pink and red to easily blind someone. Her eyes shut again before she blinks a few times to take it all in.]
What the hell...?
[Kallen's brain kicks into gear, and she realizes this is certainly NOT where she went to sleep the night before. Sitting up quickly, the redhead looks around for some sort of sign as to what's going on.
Though, she quickly stops when her eyes land upon her boyfriend in nothing but heart covered boxers.]
Um... hi.
That filter fooorever.
Though the sounds of stirring from behind him only causes Rookie to glance over his shoulder, before he's turning around completely to give the red head a wave.]
... Hey. [A second of silence, and then an awkward nod towards the rest of the room.] Just so you know, this wasn't my idea.

[She gives a sigh and kicks the covers off, getting out of bed to have a look for herself. Her own outfit isn't quite suited for company, either. Short sleeping shorts and a loose cut off t-shirt, though she doesn't think about it when she looks around.
A brow is raised when she sees the entirety of the room.]
Is this really it?
no subject
[As for what she's wearing, well he doesn't appear to really notice himself besides a passing glance. Then he just shrugs.]
Looks like it. Can't seem to open up any of the doors around here, either.
[And his armor is gone. Again. ; ; ... Or just hidden under all the stuff, but still.]
no subject
[A nearby candle gets a sniff before she wrinkles her nose.] Eugh.
no subject
[He'll move to stretch his arms above his head, glancing around for something to wear that wasn't a shade of red.]
Did the castle pull this last year?
no subject
Last year was different. You know those chalky candy hearts with messages on them? We had to follow those.
no subject
Think we should steer clear of them this year then?

[Surveying the room again, she sees the dresser and immediately makes a beeline for it. She opens and a few drawers, and--]
You have got to be kidding me!
no subject
What is it?
no subject
[She grabs something from the drawers and holds it up. Dark pink with lace and a bow and not much else.]
No way in hell.
[Back into the drawer it goes with probably more force than necessary.]
Your selection's not much better.
no subject
[Which is why he's making his way across the room now for curiosity's sake and peering over her shoulder to look... only to regret making that decision seconds after.]
Does that even count as clothing?
no subject
We don't have to find out.
[She finishes searching her side of the dresser with a growl before moving to the lower drawers on his side.]
This is ridiculous. [Rummaging rummaging...]
Aha! [With a tiny bit of success, she pulls out two basic t-shirts and two sets of long pajama pants. Rookie gets a look up at him now.]
Here's something at least.

Noble Five
[That or he just can't find it under all this stuff, but he had a feeling he wouldn't be able to wear it anyway.]
How's your end?
The Rookie
Noble Five
[Unless it's a loss, then not so much.]
The Rookie
He grunts, unamused.]
If you say so, corporal, I'm new here, after all.
Noble Five
[Then a pause, being the curious sort.]
Did you get stuck with another person too?
The Rookie
Noble Five
The Rookie
Noble Five
[A comment that was practically laced with both subtle humor and sarcasm.]
The Rookie
Noble Five
[Then a pause, before his tone is shifting to one that's a bit more serious.]
You going to be okay with being stuck in a room for a couple of days?
