Hi. I have this sneaking suspicion that I missed a lot, seeing as it's now January and I think I was kidnapped. So much for my little get together for the new year.

[There's a few metallic clatters here, one of them is drawn out as a ring spins to a slow stop on her desk.]

I also seem to have way more Renaissance-style jewelry than I remember, and that doesn't bode well. Uh, Lucrezia...?

There seems to be a lack of mass confusion, so I'm guessing it was only a few of us that... what? Got stuck in a--I don't even know what that was, really.

Sooooo. Care to fill me in? Anyone? Please tell me I wasn't turned into an old woman or something and just don't remember that.

[Knocking is for losers, but it does give Steph the opportunity to open the door and pull her inside with a hug. A tight one! Not letting go until she's sure it's okay.]

[They were just talking about friendships :( ]

[She frowns, even when Stephanie hugs her, and after a second she hugs back. She can't be mad forever –– it's not like Cassie had never said worse, it's not like she hadn't fought with literally every one of her friends at some point.

Stephanie is her best friend for a reason.

Quietly:]

I'm really sorry that I drenched you with gross fountain water...

[She stays hugging her, though she goes a little rigid.]

You drenched me with gross fountain water?

[STILL HUGGING...]

Well, you told me to buzz off!

That's right. I think I deserved it, then.

I really ticked you off, huh?

[Ticked off is easier to say than HURT :( ]

... I wonder how many people have been acting crazy in the past few days, though, because I have met a number of them.

It better not be just me. Though I guess other people's crazy might not be as obvious as someone you know.

True, but now I could go up to someone I just met and they won't remember me, and then they'll be completely different.

Well, there was a hostage situation I was involved in, and the people I worked with were pretty competent.

A hostage situation? You're kidding. [She rubs her face.] Do you think it's related to the weirdness?

Maybe. Hank Henshaw is claiming to want to be a hero now.

The world is backwards. I apparently am an annoying criminal, and that guy is a hero. Help me, Kara.

[BIGGEST SIGH.]

It is.

We didn't get whoever is behind it, but there was his sidekick... you would not believe what happened. Do you know a gothy-looking girl, really pale, black hair with a lime green tinge? Super sarcastic.

Nope. Did she claim to be a hero, too?

No, she was actually pretty proud of accepting work from a faceless voice on the journal without even getting it explained to her. Seriously, she kidnapped a little boy and three people from the city, and was holding them hostage in a building without even knowing the place was covered in bombs... and then she got bored and untied the hostages for us!

Henshaw knows how to pick 'em, doesn't he? I'm assuming everyone made it out okay.

[Supergirl was there!]
