[Two years. Two years in this castle and it does THIS to her? Happy fucking anniversary, Nora, have some wings. Oh and by the way you're now FOUR FUCKING INCHES TALL and glow like Rudolph's nose when you fly around.

Yep. This year's out to a fantastic start.

She would have been perfectly happy to sit in her room and sulk until this was over but NO. Thanks to her new diminutive size and ineptitude at flying she ended up accidentally shut out of her own room by her boyfriend. Since sitting on the doorknob and sulking was lame (and cold) she decided that she might as well try to learn how to be less of a failure at flying since she had no idea how long she'd be stuck like this. That being decided she takes off, rolling her eyes only slightly at the red glow that surrounds her as she flies.

So the good news is she's getting better at flying. The bad news is she's still working on, uh, stopping. She turns a corner and realizes too late she's flying straight at someone. Wat do?!]

[Just your luck, Nora. It'd be a Chell you're flying at. A very confused Chell, who is... not quite used to fairies flying at her face. With a yelp she leaps back a step, instinctively holding out her hands to both shield her face and maybe catch what's flying at her so she can get a closer look. What the hell is going on here?]

[Nora hits her hands with a squeak, grabbing hold to keep herself from falling to the floor. Congratulations, Chell, you now have a fairy clinging to your hands.]

[silentrunning]

[Chell's first instinct is to shake the small creature off her hands. But she doesn't. She'd heard that squeak. Her ears are pretty good. And that hadn't been the sort of squeak that had sounded like a squeak of attack. It had sounded more like a squeak of surprise, with maybe a little terror thrown in.]

[As slowly as she possibly could, Chell brought her hands closer to herself and then raised them closer to her eye, so she could get a good, long look at... whatever had grabbed onto her...]

[Chell blinks in surprise as she realizes there's a tiny little fairy clinging to her for dear life, but the surprise is soon replaced by a smile. She likes fairies. When the ones had been hanging around the Castle, she'd always tried to be nice to them. And fairies weren't a threat. She could speak to a fairy...]

"Hello, little fairy. Don't worry. I won't drop you."

[Carefully she moves one hand, as much as she can without dislodging the fairy, to give her an actual place to stand...]

"There. Is that better? Now you don't run the risk of falling."

[And then Chell looks at the fairy a bit more closely...]

"N-Nora? What... happened to you?"

[Whoa, solid(ish) ground. Nora stumbles slightly before slumping to sit on her friend's palm. She waves, looking tired. Flying is hard work after all]

Hi. Yeah I'm kinda on a loss.

[silentrunning]

[Chell nods sympathetically.]

"Stupid castle. What a horrible loss."

[She can't exactly hug Nora, due to her diminutive size, but she reaches out a fingertip to very lightly pet her hair.]

"Is there anything I can do to help you? You seem pretty miserable. Feel free to sit on my palm as long as you want. I never mind your company."

[eat_me_beat_me]

[She laughs at the hair pets. What is this, really? S'arrite she can go with it. She shrugs]

Can't really think of anything you can do to help other than this. It's nice to take a rest, though. I got shut out of my room so I'm kinda just flying around trying to get the hang of it.

[silentrunning]

[Chell grins down at her.]

I'll happily carry you for a bit. How's the flying practice going? It seems like it'd be kind of fun!"

[eat_me_beat_me]

It's harder than it looks. [She shrugs] I think I'm starting to get the hang of it, though.

Where are you going?

[silentrunning]

[Chell nods seriously... She'd imagine it would be.] She grins to Nora's question.]

Nowhere in particular. Anywhere you want me to take you?

[eat_me_beat_me]

[She shrugs again] Not really. I'd say the kitchen but I don't know what I could really eat being this size...

[silentrunning]

[Chell grins lopsidedly, and turns to head that way.]

Well... You never know till you experiment, right? We could find you a thimble of soda or something."

[she laughs]
