048 Red Letters
[Two years. Two years in this castle and it does THIS to her? Happy fucking anniversary, Nora, have some wings. Oh and by the way you're now FOUR FUCKING INCHES TALL and glow like Rudolph's nose when you fly around.
Yep. This year's out to a fantastic start.
She would have been perfectly happy to sit in her room and sulk until this was over but NO. Thanks to her new diminutive size and ineptitude at flying she ended up accidentally shut out of her own room by her boyfriend. Since sitting on the doorknob and sulking was lame (and cold) she decided that she might as well try to learn how to be less of a failure at flying since she had no idea how long she'd be stuck like this. That being decided she takes off, rolling her eyes only slightly at the red glow that surrounds her as she flies.
So the good news is she's getting better at flying. The bad news is she's still working on, uh, stopping. She turns a corner and realizes too late she's flying straight at someone. Wat do?!]
((OOC: Happy Paraversary, Nora! Feel free to see her/be run into anywhere in the castle))

[please oh please could you help your diminutive friend, Lemony?]

[he holds out his hand, palm down, for her to land on]

Thank you. I feel so helpless being this small. I can't really do much of anything for myself...

I've done quite a lot of research that concerns the circumstances of small people in terribly unfortunate situations. It might surprise you just how much they're able to care for themselves, if they're willful enough. For example - would you say it was possible for an infant to scale the inside of an elevator shaft?
no subject
An infant climbing an elevator? Normally I'd say there was no way that was possible... but the way you asked that makes me think you're about to tell me otherwise.
no subject
[he hesitates at the stairs]. Speaking of elevators, would you prefer to go that way?
no subject
[She shrugs] It doesn't make a difference to me. [i.e. she's not gonna make you do the elevator if you have like a complex or something...]

Did you at least get a quarter back for your tooth, so that it was a somewhat fair trade?
no subject
[Her frown dissipates and she smiles] Yeah. That was back when I still believed in the tooth fairy, too.

Not really. I mean I've been here two years as of today and I haven't really had many losses since I've been here... guess it might've decided to make up for it?

[She shrugs] I know that this is nothing as far as losses are concerned but it's still a pain...

[with that, he swings the door to the library open] Now then. Help me find Row 629, for flight engineering?
no subject
Hey, whoa, what? Suddenly Dewey Decimal System. She grins]
Luckily for you I was a school library assistant for two years back home. [She looks around for a moment to get her bearings before pointing] The 600s are that way.

Thank you. [he'll start heading through the stacks] A poet, an artist, and a librarian ... [he smiles] At this point, I can safely say that I've no doubt giving you that notebook was a good choice.

[She grins with pride]
You think? Thanks! I'm still really honored you gave me one... especially after you told me what it meant.
