I think this has waited long enough.

I'm going to go out today and install wards to the live-zone outpost. I realize some of you are not yet ready to do this, but at this point something is better than nothing. Any of you is welcome to accompany me or contribute something at a later date, of course, if you are so inspired. I think I can at least count on Duke, since we've already done some work with his crystals. For those of you who aren't yet aware of this project, my goal is to ensure that we do not lose this new outpost as we did the last ones. 

That said, I'll be leaving in a few hours. You can find me at Chimera headquarters if you wish to come along.

May I also remind you all that one of our goals is gathering info on the magic of other residents, and if you speak to anyone you believe qualifies, it would help if you learned and recorded what you could. I am only one man.

I can try and set a few, though admittedly I need some more time to make a proper anchor stone for them.

I don't remember you mentioning an anchor stone. I presume it's function is implied in the name, but tell me more anyhow.

Well, I can hold wards by myself if I am there to maintain them. However, an anchor stone would allow the wards to fuel themselves with minimal resetting. I have a similar method I want to try in Valdemar, though the spell is much larger there and takes a far larger node of power. With that not here, the stone I have in mind would need - recharging, so to speak, every now and then.

Not a concept I am unfamiliar with. The stone itself, if I may ask, is it a particular material? Something unique? Or merely set with a spell?

I would personally like it to be of my preferred focus stone, though that does create the problem of it perhaps not being compatible with others, in which case we would need to find a stone that many could work with.

Are you saying others would be able to recharge your wards?

They should, if the magics mesh well enough. I do not see a problem with it.

Well, we've tested that well enough between the two of us. We'll have to see about the others, though. Still, it could come in handy should you leave before we do.

True. I will try and set it up for as easy a re-charge as I can, but again, it will depend on the people themselves. I wish I could make it not need it, but without a node to attach - it's just not possible.

It's understandable. My own will be far from permanent, and I am the only one that will be able to recharge them. Unless the castle manages to attract another Cabaline, that is.

Considering our length of time here already? Not likely. Perhaps I should hold a session to show everyone how to recharge my shields, though, just in case.
