[Well, after having arrived a little while ago, North has kept a watchful eye on the communications of others, and he's got an idea of what he ought to be doing.

It's been a harrowing trip--mentally, at least--and he's still slightly confused by the situation. Last thing he knew, he wasn't conscious. And now he's been deposited in a place that's about as mysterious as it gets.

He stands in the lobby of the castle in full armor, book open, and decides to introduce himself. Voice muted by the helmet, he addresses the general populace.]

Don't stop me if you've heard this one before. This is North, and I'm less lost than I am confused. Anybody care to give a guy the grand tour?

[After which point he just shrugs at the damn thing and tucks it away in his armor. With a shake of his head, he takes off his helmet, and begins to wander the lobby.]

I'll let you know. Once I get settled, this'll all be a lot easier to stomach. So far, I've heard some things about this place that aren't exactly my idea of a good time.

That much hasn't changed from home. No place is perfect.

Once you know your way around, I'll show you some of the things me and Delta have set up here. There are a few interesting things on the local network, and out a ways away from the castle there's a--well, it's a solid hologram chamber, basically. Love to see what Theta could do with that.

Let's pretend I got my hopes up. It makes for a better story.

[A smile, here, which can be heard but obviously not seen.]

A hologram chamber? Are we talking training sims?

Well, at least we aren't constantly dodging assholes who want to rain on our parade. That much is better.

That's the intention. Course, Delta can also make it look like a beach or a park or anything else, if we're just there to hang out.

A day at the beach sounds really nice right now. Remind me to thank Delta when I get around to using that thing.

Will do. Oh, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays, there's a room on the third floor that opens onto a beach anyway. Just don't go on Monday and Friday - it's snowy.

[That gets a chuckle.]

Magical castle. Right. Any other exciting rooms?

Movie theater that's only got a door on Fridays?

What happens if you catch a midnight showing?

Some people tried once and got stuck in there for an entire week. They had to live off popcorn. Not recommended.

[The mere thought makes his stomach churn. A week of popcorn. He'd rather not, thanks.]

I'll keep that one in mind. Hope they had some good movies left to watch.

[At least it's better than MREs? Maybe.]

I think so. It would be pretty bad if they only had romantic comedies for a whole week.

[There's a long willfully forgotten memory of a childhood incident with burnt popcorn that's trying to surface, now.]

Romantic comedies aren't all bad, even if they aren't my particular favorite. But still, a week of them...

Even a week of awesome action movies [which would probably be classified as scifi in this place] would get old. So yeah - just be careful you don't get stuck there overnight.

On that note, I did get stuck on the beach one time from Tuesday to Thursday, but as you can imagine that was a lot nicer. Plus we could wish up infinite margaritas.

[He chuckles.]

No movies. Check. But I like the beach idea. I really do. When was the last time I took a vacation...

If it's anything like the rest of us? Entirely too long.

Let me know when you find some swimming trunks. We can make a party out of it.

I think the last time was on the fifth of never. I can't even remember.

Good to be here. I don't know who could have kept you guys out of trouble until now, but never fear, I am here.

Out of trouble? Yeah, that'd be nobody.

[Come on, who wants to stay out of trouble? That's no fun.]

South bailed you out? See, she can be a team player. Can.

She's got more to her than anyone might think, if they were to just listen to her mouth off. Good thing to know.
