[Things have been getting increasingly quiet for Spike recently. So many of the people he cares about have gone home, likely to never remember him again. It's made him understandably paranoid, and one voice has been absent for a while. So, heading off through the castle, he went to the room of a special pony.

...And finds the news, deep down, he was expecting. Well, at least she'd remember him, back home. That's a little comfort. Still, he sounds sad as he opens up the journal]

For anypony who knew her, Princess Cadence has gone home.

...I guess she'll be happier there. She has Shining Armour back home, and her honeymoon to go to.

[THAT WILL BE NEXT TIME, OH YES]

Well, there's a zombie apocalypse, and you're stuck in the mall. And you have to go save other people trapped in the mall.

[whistles_the_blues]

Okay, I think I can manage that. Take down the walking dead humans to save the living ones. I was built for this kind of stuff.

That's right! [He starts up the game] NOw see all this stuff lying around? You can use those as weapons against the zombies. Just pick 'em up with this button here.

[whistles_the_blues]

[He watches as Spike shows him how to pick up a weapon and then does so himself.]

Okay I got it.

...Shame this guy doesn't just have an arm cannon, it would make things so much easier.

An arm canon? [That gets a curious look] Do you have one of them? How does it work?

[whistles_the_blues]

[He pauses the game for a second and glances to Spike. Maybe he should have kept quiet about that.]

I do, here I'll show you.

[He holds up his left arm and there's a brief flash of light as his hand is replaced with his Proto Buster.]

I can do that with either of my hands but only one at a time. As for how it works; it draws power from my own reserves to fire.

[Too late, bro, you have to SHARE now. Spike watches in amazement at that. He doesn't have all that experience with tech]

Oh MAN! That's so cool!

[whistles_the_blues]

[He goes and switches what hand the cannon's in before holding the canon toward Spike so he can take a better look at it.]

Yeah it's pretty awesome.

[On the side he'll see a little gauge that says how much power Blues has left. It's about three quarters full right now.]

[Spike peers at it, careful not to actually...touch it]

What does that little gauge mean? And isn't that heavy to carry around? Have yo ever accidentally shot it if you've sneezed or something?

[Twenty questions time, yep]

[whistles_the_blues]

[Blues is willing to indulge, Spike's questions are harmless enough.]

The gauge shows how much power I have left. It's kind of like that life bar in the game.

[He points toward the screen.]

I'm stronger than I probably look so it's not too heavy for me lift up at all and I can't sneeze so I don't have to worry about that.

[huffythedragon]

How do you get more power? [A touch worried] Because that looks like it's going down, and wouldn't it be really bad to lose all your power?

[whistles_the_blues]

I have an area in my room set up that I can plug into and recharge. If I can't get back there in time, I can always "sleep" to get some power back. Don't worry about it, I'll be fine.

[Best to leave out the fatal power core imbalance.]

[huffythedragon]

Oh wow, that's pretty cool. I mean, especially here where sometimes power goes out, or we end up in a place without any power at all.

[Good plan, bro]

[whistles_the_blues]

Oh? I didn't know we could end up in other places.

It is handy though, I can go out and travel around without worrying too much about my power supply.

[He's here to cheer you up not give you the sob story.]

Uh huh. It doesn't happen a lot, but it still happens enough to be ready.

That's good!

[whistles_the_blues]

Good to know, well I'll come up with some back up plans just in case then.

[He grins, turning back to the tv screen]
