So Gideon's gone. He's probably back home concocting his next scheme or something. Anyway, if you don't know who he is then consider yourself lucky. He's very charismatic, but once you get to know him he can be kind of a jerk sometimes. I guess I won't be needing bodyguards anymore, too.

But enough about that. I have been reunited with Waddles ever since Christmas, so all right with the world once again.

[There's an audible oink that can be heard over the journal]

Waddles says hi!

Speaking of Christmas, I was kind of unconscious for a while and then stuck somewhere, and also things happened? What I'm trying to say is I lost some valuable knitting time, so Christmas gifts have been delayed for a while now. Who wants to make it an early Valentine's Day present instead?

I'd say I can't wait to grow up, but I'm pretty sure that's not true. In any case, when I do grow up, I hope I'm as wise as you.

I would wish to be a child for longer if I could.

Yeah, there are some pretty great perks to being a kid. Maybe someday you'll go on a loss where you're a kid, too.

Tell me about these perks, Mabel.

[She giggles] Come on, I'm sure it hasn't been that long since you were a kid, too.

I wonder. When does one stop being a child, do you think?

[bezazzled]

Well, there are some people that say when you turn thirteen you aren't a kid anymore, you're a teenager. But the teens I've met are still just kids that are taller and all pimply.

I guess it depends. Where I live, you're not a child anymore when you turn 18.

[heloise]

[ She chuckles. Lol pimply. ]

Then I could still be a child if I lived where you did.

[WHOA THERE SISTER]

Really? I totally thought you were this mature lady this whole time! How old are you?

Do you promise to keep it secret?

I have seventeen years.

[bezazzled]

That's not old at all! I totally have friends that are almost seventeen. You can still be a kid.

[heloise]

Can I? Perhaps I should do things that kids do.

[bezazzled]

Only if you want to. It's also kind of a state of mind thing. You know, "you're only as old as you feel" and stuff.

My advice to you is, if it looks like fun and you want to do it, and it's not illegal or will hurt anyone and if you won't get in trouble for it, then just do it!

[ Lucrezia laughs. ]

Then I am more like a child than I first thought! I never hesitate to do what looks like fun.

Great! Then you are definitely still a kid in my book.

Aww, you don't have to do that! But I won't stop you if you really want to.

I love jewelry! Homemade or otherwise, I'll never turn down the opportunity to accessorize.
