So Gideon's gone. He's probably back home concocting his next scheme or something. Anyway, if you don't know who he is then consider yourself lucky. He's very charismatic, but once you get to know him he can be kind of a jerk sometimes. I guess I won't be needing bodyguards anymore, too.

But enough about that. I have been reunited with Waddles ever since Christmas, so all right with the world once again.

[There's an audible oink that can be heard over the journal]

Waddles says hi!

Speaking of Christmas, I was kind of unconscious for a while and then stuck somewhere, and also things happened? What I'm trying to say is I lost some valuable knitting time, so Christmas gifts have been delayed for a while now. Who wants to make it an early Valentine's Day present instead?

Yeahhhh. Hold on a second, you met him?

I talked to him over the journals once. He did seem a bit odd towards the end, but gosh! Now I feel all sorts of awkward.

That's kind of the effect he has on people. The more you talk to him, the more you notice something's just not right with the kid. In any event, if you only talked to him once then it's no big.

How was I to know he was the guy? I'm still sorry, though.

[bezazzled]

Huh? I'm not mad if you talked to him. I'm just glad that he didn't lose his marbles around you!

[She sighs]

It's my fault, too. I warned all the ladies here about a creeper but I didn't even give his name.

You got a pig for Christmas? That's so cool!

[He sounds mad jealous. Though it had been a simulated reality, Evan remembered well his time spent on the farm, tending to the pigs and cows, and everything else the Sabahnurs had raised. He found himself missing that simple life sometimes.]

Not just any pig. This is Waddles, and he's a special pig. By that, [her tone takes on a doting baby-talk tone] I mean he's the cutest piggly wiggly ever!

Nothing like a bout of losing conciousness to put a crimp a knitting plans.

Seriously! I could've had all my gifts finished. I guess that's what I get for trying to live life on the edge.

I guess this is the universe telling you to slow down. [Or is that heart attacks? He forgets]

With what? Making sweaters?

Hey, this is a weird castle, I don't make the rules.

It can keep trying to stall me, but I'm a lean, mean knitting machine. I'm not letting a dumb castle get between me and making Christmas gifts! I mean Valentine's Day gifts!

Oh man, I totally forgot that you were left alone with him after I was knocked out! He didn't do anything mean to you with his stupid powers, did he?

No, he pretty much just threatened me so I told him to go away.

[bezazzled]

That's a relief. Maybe his stupid crush on me worked in your favor since he might have been too busy worrying about me to think about messing with you. He's such an angry little man.

[dupable]

No kidding! He needs to get that temper under control though, especially if he ever comes back here. There are a lot of really strong people here, and I don't think they would take it well if a kid started yelling at them like that.

[bezazzled]

Exactly! Plus he's pretty much powerless without his stupid amulet anyway. If that thing broke again, he would've been toast! I think he just hasn't matured yet. You've seen him; he hasn't even hit his growth spurt yet.

So the castle spoke on your behalf in the end.

[It takes her a moment to respond.]

Hey, you're right! I didn't even think of it that way!

Will you give thanks to it?

[bezazzled]

That's usually the right thing to do, isn't it? Tell someone thanks when they help you? But at the same time it still does some pretty mean things from time to time.
