Wonderland: Day One

[wonderlandian]

The residents of Paradisa who ventured into the lobby on the 13th would find something new there; a mirror spanning an entire wall. Given recent happenings, who can blame them if they're cautious? Trouble is, this mirror seems to really want to bring people in, because you don't have to get too close before you're through the looking glass.

Once you've gone, you may find that you're not quite yourself.

[Notes/Reminders: Type 1 and Type 2 characters will believe they are Wonderland natives. All characters, including those not entering Wonderland, will be able to use their journals; Wonderland "natives" will think it is a communication device exclusive to Wonderland, although communication between Paradisa and Wonderland through the journals is absolutely possible. You may NPC any number of Tulgey Wood creatures, except for the Jabberwocky.]

[ She scoffs. ]

Men seldom change, my dear wolf. [ She reaches up, picking a couple of twigs and so fort from her hair. ]

[wolfchild]

[ Trying to run her hand through it only results in hitting tangles. She screws up her face as she pulls her fingers free. ]

[ She gives Arya an apologetic look. ]

We will fix these tangles, and afterwards perhaps you can chase Nymeria with a brush. [ CAUSE HAHA BRUSHING A DIREWOLF, wouldn't that be funny. ]

[wolfchild]

I don't know where Nymeria is.

[scinlae]

Then we will have to find her after we find a way out.

[wolfchild]

Can you do that?

[scinlae]

Yes, I can.

[wolfchild]

Can you really?

[ can you see the sudden hope jumping on her face? Can you? ]

[scinlae]

I can, I swear it. [ YES SHE CAN, and it makes her grin. ]

[He definitely wasn't spying and being glad Arya has someone like this in her life. Nope, not at all. Rabbits don't spy.

...Okay, maybe they do a little. He drops back into the hole, placing a red sack (where did he even get that from?) at his big old feet]

Here we go, enough firewood and bedding to last out...however long we'll be stuck here.

[wolfchild]

[ Arya hops to her feet to grab the sack. ]

It'll be warmer sleeping together.

[ Yeah. They're all sleeping together. Deal with it. ]

[scinlae]

[ Of course he doesn't not at all.

Morgana blinks watching Arya spring up to grab the bag. ]

Are you sure?

[thatrabbitsdynamite]

[Bunny isn't all that bothered by the idea. Besides, at least then they CAN be kept warm]

Like having a fuzzy hot water bottle. [Probably teasing, but it is partly true at least]

[wolfchild]

See? He doesn't mind.

[ She finds a nice patch of dirt to fix the bedding. She leaves the firewood aside. ]

Someone else do the fire. But, oh, the smoke will stay inside.

[scinlae]

Neither do I, then.

[ Slowly she also gets to her feet, dusting herself off lightly. ]

We will need some sort of hole to let it out.

Not in any burrow of mine. [He'll offer them a reassuring smile] There won't be any smoke. Promise.

[wolfchild]

[ Arya will just be making their beds. You people, well, lady and rabbit decide. ]

[scinlae]

No smoke? [ Oh dear Rabbit, she is looking at you like you're crazy (haha). ]

How?

[thatrabbitsdynamite]

Magic.

[Yeah, because that's not a vague reply at all. He'll just be setting up a fire, rubbing two sticks together because lol he can't just MAKE fire happen]

[wolfchild]

You all need to come up with better explanations.

[ Arya glares at them both. ]

Just because it's magic doesn't mean there shouldn't be a proper explanation!

[scinlae]

[ Morgana snorts. Magic, of course. It only takes her a few seconds before her eyes flash gold, yeah she can MAKE fire happen. It is a small flame, nothing that will do him any damage but enough to start the fire itself. ]

[thatrabbitsdynamite]

Okay. It's nature magic.

[He jumps back a little as the fire sparks to life, freezing for a second, before glancing over at Morgana, arching an eyebrow]

Nice trick. [And, as promised, the smoke vanishes, as if it's not even there]

[wolfchild]

[ Dryly: ] It's not a trick. It's magic.

[scinlae]

[ And she manages a grin, despite the dryness of Arya's comment. ]

I'm a sorceress, magic flows through my veins as freely as blood.
