If by "something" you mean people were sucked into mirrors and trapped in some kind of upside down crazy world where nothing made sense while an exact duplicate when around and acted like your evil twin, then yes. Something happened with them before.

Here's a helpful hint: If it wasn't there the day before, it's probably best to stand back and wait for someone else to figure out what it is. That way, if it's something totally bizarre-o, the first guy's the one that gets the effects of it. From then on, you can make your own well-informed decision regarding it.

When you say it like that, you make me sound so uncaring! The fact of the matter is, it's gonna happen one way or another because there will always be that one guy who you warn about the possibility of danger but he's one of those big bad hero types so he just goes in anyway. And that's when you just hang back and see what happens.

And if you think about it, their recklessness is to our benefit. It serves as a warning! Even if I do feel bad if they get caught up in something.
