It's more for your sake than mine. [Doesn't want to think about how many questionable burgers Steph has had in the three years she's been here. Closes his menu over.] I'm going to go with a salad, too.

Are we not getting milkshakes, then?

[She sticks out her tongue.]

[An elderly waitress appears beside the time and smiles at the two of them endearingly, asking them what they'd like.]

I'll have the vegetable salad and a glass of water, thanks. [Hands the menu over to her.]

Caesar salad and a chocolate milkshake, please.

[She hands over her menu as well.]

[The waitress smiles at the two and it just screams "b'aaw, aren't those two cute, more or less ordering the same thing." She collects their menus and leaves.

Avoids looking at Steph and instead stares out the window, searching the town.]

Besides restaurants, what else do they have here?

[Steph pretends to not notice that look, resting her chin on her palm and looking out the window as well.]

Various businesses, bars, inns, abandoned warehouses in one part of town... generally speaking, that part isn't too different from Gotham or any other city.

How abandoned are we talking about? [The wheels in his head are already turning.]

Abandoned except for when a villain decides to use them or some kids hang out in there.

I might have some ideas involving training.

What kind of ideas? [This is interesting.]

We could make it into our own personal gym for starters, that way we could practice whatever we wanted without raising any questions.

[Granted, they'd have to say up some money first but he doesn't think it would be that difficult. Neither of them have to pay rent, for food expenses, utilities, car insurance, or a number other basic necessities. Any money they make is all pocket money.]

All the way out here? Why not just use the Batroom?

Because the Batroom has been there forever. [Doesn't know who has been snooping around.] It would also be harder to move whatever equipment we wanted in there without anyone noticing.

And if we're influenced in a dangerous way by the castle, we don't have to worry about causing any damage to the Batroom or using it for the wrong reasons.

Fair points. Alright, Batwarehouse it is. I'll ask around and see if anyone in the city actually has ownership of the properties.

We'll use the Batroom for our research, and the warehouse will be for training, creating new gadgets, and vehicles. Did anyone we know ever store any money away, or leave vehicles behind? Kara mentioned there being one in the garage.

There's a bike in there. Damian worked on it. I have one I got from another resident, but that's about it. Shouldn't be too hard to get more, though.

[dorkwonder]

[Starts to give her a look that screams "that's it in three years?", but quickly shifts gears.]

Where did they get the bikes from?

Around Christmas the castle tends to give people things from home. Sometimes, people get bikes. And sometimes people leave and the bikes stay.
