[ Totally not asking because he realized his had passed. Honestly. ]

[ And after that, Duke will settle in the lobby - even more out of the way than usual, because he is most uncomfortable with his current... attire. The coat he wishes up doesn't stay on for more than a few minutes at a time, much to his discomfort, so it ends up sitting on the floor about him as he stops paying attention to it and pays more attention to... magic. He would have done this on the roof again, but with all the snow, it was a quick way to both get cold and burnt.

The corner of the lobby where Duke sits is lit up with flickers of red, green, purples of both bright and near black, and warm gold as he works on... something.

And anyone who talked with the sphinx in wonderland might recognize how he looks- granted, he doesn't have a cat's body or wings anymore, but the coloring is the same. ]

((OOC: loss! Duke is taking the appearance of his third boss-fight from Tales of Vesperia. This means he glows a little and has metal-and-rock things in his skin, and probably feels like a bit too much magic in one place. At least he isn't crazy?))

Movement is somewhat restricted, and all discomforts of metal close to flesh are same due to metal being... in. And somehow the armor locks about them so it is hard to get that off to sleep, but still doable.

[ So he's fine but for a small list of discomforts. ]

[It's because he hadn't meant just physically. Because it's hard to ask someone as reserved as Duke how being like this makes him feel, but he's pushed the subject about as far as he feels he's allowed, given how well he knows the man, which isn't very.]

Is hasn't allowed you to wear anything more comfortable? Besides a shirt, of course...

[ Duke wouldn't go into that much anyway. If he has to tell Felix about how he feels, that means he has to acknowledge how he feels, and once he does that he doesn't know how to properly ignore how he feels again. So he'll do the smart thig and ignore them completely- ]

What is on is not... particularly unfomfortable. [ He still has full wrist movement, and there is a bit of cloth under the armor. ]

Is a little tricky to get off, and tends to come back after a while. Do not think castle would allow much changing...

Own magic is already suited for altering spells, simply intend to alter ones that had not been otherwise... One is similar enough to another that is known-to-alter, but... [ Its not working how he'd like it to. ]

What is it that it is supposed to do?

Make lightning as rain.

[ But when he runs the spell, he gets a diner-plate sized space of crackling static. ]

An area spell, with randomized striking patterns. More reliable than ability to aim, currently.

Why have shrunk the area of the spell. Otherwise, accidents.... would be far too easy.

Have used both the light-rain spell and a meteor spell in doors before. It is less of pulling a weather system in and more of artificially creating effects. It is more effective in the rain, yes.

In my world weather is a tricky thing to work with. I can't say I know of any successful attempt to manipulate it.

... I don't think I know anything for actually altering weather patterns.
