[Sandoval, unfortunately, seems to have fallen into the trap that many have around the castle - and found himself stuck in Wonderland. Not that he minds, he seems to be enjoying it a great deal! He's currently spending time around the tea party, so there's a bit of a bustle of changing places in the background.]

My, this is such a lovely place - "Wonderland", I think the locals have been calling it? Well, no matter! I understand now what people meant when they said the castle could send you to other places. How exciting!

So tell me, crumpets - how do you take your tea?

Now that is my kind of answer! I do miss a proper tea. Though this one is shaping up rather nicely, it might almost be a more proper tea!

But have you good company and tales to share with the tea?

[sandoval]

I am not quite sure of this company's quality, but I'm sure they have plenty of interesting tales to tell! I have a hunch they are at least decent company. And even bad company can sometimes be entertaining.

Are good company and good stories important for your tea also, sir?

Most so. Terrible company can put one off one's tea faster than anything! Though you are right, even bad company can be amusing.

Oh, dear! I wasn't aware there was terrible company. How are they different from bad company?

And you're right, I'm sure it would leave my tea stone cold. Dreadful business, that.

Quite different, I think. As far apart as tuneless singing from something that deafens the ears. Though I would guess you are neither of those.

Aww... you are very good at buttering me up. Thank you!

I do suppose you're right. Still, that's awful business, terrible company... in what sort of sense? The "proper about everything" terrible or the "I'm here to murder you and the entire court" terrible?

I should think such company that is both would be the most terrible; those who are entirely proper yet wish to murder you and flee with the entirety of one's pantry. Most horrid!

[sandoval]

You're right! That would be quite terrible. Murderers always ruin the party, and being prim and proper on top of that - a most horrid combination indeed.

Though I doubt there are any murderers here. Thankfully everyone else seems to be in rather pleasant state of mind - it's almost a little exciting here!

The pleasantness is exciting indeed. And tea and sandwiches that will never run out!

That's even more splendid, I dare say. Do you think the ghosts would replenish the tea and sandwiches at the castle, if we asked them?

I heard so, though it will make us pay in way we can't yet guess.

Well, it's easy enough to get your hands on, erm... oh, what were they called again? Caisos? Something like that. The thing I would be more concerned about is a loss, myself. The castle's already given me one, you see. It seems it's given a loss to everyone!

What was yours, if you do not mind my asking?

[sandoval]

No, I don't mind at all. It's related to my country, Xoan - I know I'm the ambassador of Xoan, I know the people in the government, and I remember being there, but I can't for the life of me tell you anything about Xoan. Quite tragic, really.

[bronwe]

Oh, that is terrible! [ Trying not to get carried away... ] I can hardly imagine not being able to speak of the Shire and I am not even an ambassador or anything of the sort.
