014 - Sob (Backdated to directly after the Wonderland Plot end)
[The first thing Chell notices the second that she's back in her room after the mirror spits her out is the fact there's a fish tank on one wall now, a fish tank that takes up the entire wall. She blinks in utter confusion, and pads over to look at it.]
[Awww. That's a cute....Magiccarp?]
[Nick's Magikarp. How... How had he gotten here]
[With a cold sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach, Chell runs out of her room, down the tower stairs, forcing down tears that are blurring her vision, and tears up to Nick's room... She already knows what she'll find. And sure enough there it is. The blank name plate that she had been trying to brace herself for.]
[But there really is no way to brace yourself for something like this. Chell presses her hands flat against the door for a moment, just remembering all the times the two of them had spent together, all the talks, all the... everything. He'd been very special to her in a way she couldn't exactly understand.
Slowly, she drops to her knees, leaning her forehead against the door that used to be Nick's. And then she writes in the journal. God. She'll have to be the one to deliver the bad news... But by sheer force of will, she keeps her hand from shaking.]
For anyone who knew Phoenix Wright, he has gone home.
[Well, that's that. She huddles up, flat against the door, not wanting to move yet. She can't move yet. She knows that name plate won't instantly flash back into having Nick's name on it... But this is the only way she can pay her respects. Then she glances down at the journal and adds something to her message.]
Does anyone know what to feed a Magikarp?
[She'll be there for a while, huddled forlornly in front of a door with a blank nameplate. If you want to find her, that's the best place to do it.]

Can you teach me how to make them? And show me where to find the berries? I'd be eternally greatful.

That sounds easier.

There are a few Berry trees in the garden, if you'd like to feed them their natural food. Just be certain to replant any you pick and water the soil around them.
no subject
Thank you very much for your help. I'll be sure to replant a tree for any berries I take.

Thank you. I could use something to keep my mind busy. I'll go look in the library.
no subject
[Yes, even a Magikarp.]
no subject
I will do my very very best.
[And with her head held high she slinks off toward the library.]

I'll wish for some. Thank you.

Re: dictated
Thank you. I... wouldn't want him trying to eat the whole thing at once.

Thank you, Thamuris. He was a very special person. One of the very first people to be nice to me here. He's one of the reasons I help out new residents. Because he and several other people helped me.

I won't ever stop reaching out, as long as I'm here.

I'm very glad to call you a friend, Thamuris. I think I should say that now, as often as necessary, as time in this place truly is fleeting...

And I'm glad to call you a friend as well.

I'm sorry, Nora. But yes.

He was a good guy, too. Better than a lot of the assholes in this place.
no subject
That he definitely was. I hope he's happy at the very least.
[Because so help her if the Castle's sent him back to pain, or worse, she will make it pay somehow.
no subject
[Whyyyy. Why you gotta send her friends home, castle?!]

"Pity there's not some way we can teach it a lesson."

I shall miss him as well.

We can remember him together then.

Do you know how to make these cookies? If you do, I'd love to make them with you.

Surely they cannot be that difficult to create. A recipe should provide all we need, yes?
[and since this particular pony princess hasn't actually cooked anything in 1000+ years, this will....obviously go swimmingly!]

Chell rummages around, searching out a recipe for hamantaschen. Hmm. This doesn't look too hard!
Yup. This'll go swimmingly! Quickly she pens a message to Princess Luna.]
I found the recipe!

[and she'll be there, looking through the cupboards to get a sense of where everything is.]
no subject
But she stops at the counter and carefully setting down the book and waving at the Princess.
The kitchen is empty except for the two of them, remarkably, so Chell doesn't feel as freaked out as she might about what she's about to do. But after all, Luna was Nick's friend too, and Chell's friend, and that... makes her close enough to speak to.]
"Hello."
[She says the word very softly, but Luna'd probably be able to hear her anyhow.]
