i have sort of been lurking around for just a little while

you start getting used to it after a while though
anyway i can probably answer whatever questions you have
did you have any questions in particular or shall i just give you the general rundown

maybe it will answer some of the questions i have

you are in a place called paradisa
this is the name of the castle as well as the continent and the world generally
but we sometimes call the castle cair paradisa in order to distinguish it
the castle is sapient and extraordinarily powerful
it will give you pretty much anything you wish for within reason
but its generosity comes at a high price
you may or may not have noticed yet but you are missing something now that you werent before
whether that be an object an ability or a memory
these permanent losses are the castles cost of admission

for instance i was here almost six months before i found out what mine was

this is a little troubling ._.

if the castle sends a resident home it returns them to the exact moment they left with no memory of their time here
as far as we can tell it doesnt necessarily result in a doomed timeline

i will admit that that is a little bit of a relief
at least we will get to finish everything at home :o

as a side effect though we dont age while we are here
which can be a good or bad thing depending on the situation
for the purpose of timeline integrity its great
but it is kind of awkward to remain six sweeps old indefinitely

some people show up for half a day and then disappear
but there are a few who have been here for six years or more
and for some reason not everyone the castle sends away winds up at home

but where else could it send them?
are there other worlds like this one out there?

every so often we have what we call world changes
although its kind of a misnomer
we used to think it was the castle transforming itself into new environments
but it turns out the castle remains intact and we are just transported to other places
sometimes they resemble peoples homeworlds but theyre only copies
theres some evidence to suggest theyre all somewhere on this same planet though
anyway another thing about world changes is that lately weve started to find people there
former residents of paradisa
at first they think theyre part of the setting but after a while they remember
and when we return to the castle they come back with us
currently nobody knows why this happens

but i think i am starting to like the sound of this place less and less .__.
is wishing for things ok??
