[Evan couldn't fly. He knows it, but he didn't really know it. He was basing his assumption entirely on his entrance to Paradisa, and his setting the lobby on fire when he'd done so, and had otherwise been avoiding actively trying to fly, in case he embarrassed himself trying. That's why, tonight, anyone who comes out to the roof will see a young gray-skinned young man standing on the ledge, trying and repeatedly failing to leap from the ledge, only to crash spectacularly on the pavement below. It doesn't actually hurt him, but it does leave boy-sized craters every time he lands.]
So...uhh...I know what my loss is, but...how specific are they? If someone had lost the ability to fly, for example, would they be able to fly if like...someone threw them, or if someone who could fly gave them sort of a running start? I'm kinda curious to see what the limitations are. If...uhh...you're someone who could help, meet me up on the roof.
[After that, he'll resume his attempts, his journal open and catching his repeated failed attempts, which sound like someone falling from a great height, and then scaling the castle's outer wall over and over. feel free to reply over the journal, or ogle the insanity in person.]

It is, but it's really hard to control. Like...my body is telling me to do it big, but...I don't want to, because I don't wanna lose control of it. I can control it better when I wear my armor, but I don't wanna rely on that if I don't have to.
[He nods.]
You must be Peter, I'm guessing?

[his outreacheed hand produces a ball of lightning. He lets the ball grow, then throws it in a long bolt out away from the castle]

That was so...cool!
[He's only ever seen someone conjure lightning once before, when Ms. Munroe came to the school to give a guest lecture on atmosphere and weather awareness when using powers that could affect the immediate environment.]
D'you think you could teach me how to control my powers better?
[Evan's all kinds of excited now, if for no other reason than it felt like Peter was a person a lot like himself, just as powerful, and having to learn to control his powers from scratch.]

I've never actually taught anybody, but I could give it a shot.

[Considering what he's already done without training, he knows it's a necessary evil.]
