001: Arrival
[Romana is wandering the secret passageways between the Council Rooms and her Presidential Chambers. Ever since the supposed assassination attempt on her life; from which the Romana of this Gallifrey had, in fact, died; the only time she received time to herself was during these walks.
It was so frustrating that the Time Lords of this Gallifrey were so overly “proper.” It was even getting on Narvin’s nerves and that was saying something. But she had been right about one thing: being called “Supreme Leader” became old, very quickly.
As she walks, she is paying more attention to her thoughts rather than where she is going. It seemed that the "Free Time Virus" had yet to arrive here, but that didn't mean it wouldn't and that is cause for great concern. She turns a corner and opens the door to her private rooms. So lost is she in thought, that it takes her a full minute to realize that she is not in her private chambers. She looks around the room.]
This isn’t at all where I planned to be. I must have taken a wrong turn.
[It wasn't all that unusual to happen. Although this Alternate Gallifrey is very similar to her own, every once in awhile a subtle difference reveals itself. She walks back to the door, opens it and looks into the hall. Through one of the great windows in the hall, she can see outside. it looks nothing like Gallifrey. For starters the sky is a pristine blue, rather than the burnt-orange she expects to see.]
This… doesn’t look like Gallifrey.
[For a moment, Romana is hopeful that perhaps K-9 and Irving Braxiatel had finally sorted a way to get her back to the prime universe. She smiles warmly and runs into the hall.]
Brax!? K-9? I’m here! You did it! You brought me back! And none too soon. Did you retrieve Narvin as well?
[Her face falls as she looks around and didn’t see them anywhere.]

Romana
[There's a sigh as he rakes a hand through his hair] As far as River goes? It's a long very complicated story. I'd much rather tell you in person. Unfortunately I'm... stuck... right now.
Eleventh Doctor
Everything is complicated where you are concerned. As to being stuck. From what I hear, you're stuck with your wife. Can't be that bad.
[Well, she knows the Doctor, she knows it can be. But that's not the point.]
Romana
Eleven
[She had been against marriage and family as being too mundane. But the recent events had stirred a slight longing. And hearing the Doctor, of all people, speak of marriage... it was almost too much.]
Romana
Eleventh Doctor
[Wait, no, that came out wrong.]
What do you think are the most important things for the President of Gallifrey to know?
Romana
If you ask for anything, short of weapons, people or large things like vehicles, the castle will provide it. There's a computer in your room with a very useful floor map in it.
Also... Most here have never heard of Gallifrey, so I'd expect you'd get a great many confused looks if you use your full title, here. There's everyone here from Time Lords to kings to the serpent of Eden. We're all more or less equal where the castle is concerned. Though some of us have taken on more responsibilities than others.
Eleventh Doctor
[She doesn't sound sure of how she feels about that.]
And if there's no way to leave, it's pointless to try to get that... thing... here. You know, the way we travel? That thing.
Oh why can't I say the name? You know what I'm talking about, right?
Romana
[He pauses. No... how could she... How could the castle... He sighs, dejected]
The TARDIS. My TARDIS. I have it, here. As does my Fifth self... and it seems that it's your loss. The castle takes something from you when you arrive. A sort of toll, for lack of a better analogy. Mine is the memories of how I regenerated from my Tenth self.
Eleventh Doctor
[Wait a minute, he just said he had his TARDIS here. In fact, there are two TARDIS here.]
Doctor. You can get me home then? To the proper Gallifrey! Maybe Brax found away to get me home and it's through this place.
[Oh, Romana, the presence of the Doctor is making her all... optimistic.]
Romana
[He sighs] I'm sorry... I'm afraid I can't or we'd all have left ages ago. The TARDII can only travel within this world. We can't leave it or travel through time.
Eleventh Doctor
Romana
Eleventh Doctor
[Her tone is pointed, Doctor. She knows how you didn't rule Gallifrey.]
Romana forever
[Pointedly ignoring that remark yup.]
Re: Romana forever
But to which home? I've been to so many recently...

Eleventh forever (meant to say that last time)
Narvin, Leela and I were on an alternate Gallifrey where their version of me had been assassinated. I naturally stepped in to fill my role. But, this Gallifrey hadn't learned time travel. Even so they had that... Eye Thing... and there was a secret... Time Machine. But they were a vainglorious bunch, so I had those destroyed.
I even set K-9 back to the Axis, in the hopes that he could help get us home.
[She pauses and says the next part slowly.]
He's there... with Brax.
Aww 'salright <3

That is most unfortunate. Since I am as stuck there as I was in E-Space.
no subject
I know... and I'm sorry.
[He sighs softly] It's been so long since I've thought about E-Space or N-Space or the Axis... so much has happened since then. Did you know the Pandorica isn't just a myth?
no subject
Only members of the CIA and the president is supposed to know about that. How do you?
[She groans.]
Don't tell me... it's you.
no subject
Yes. Yes it is... though I wasn't in there for very long. It's hidden under Stonehenge of all places, by the way. I can tell you the whole story if you'd like, you won't remember it when you leave here.

[She would tell him all the things that she discovered existed, but she figures, since he's in her future, he already knows.]
