I hate the Chosen system and I hate Cruxis, but that's not really the fault of the pastors or other members of the church or the regular follower. Most of them don't know what's going on behind the curtain.

The usual story is that the Chosen are the children of angels, sent by the angels of Cruxis in Heaven. The Chosen exist to become an angel, regenerate the world or bring salvation and happiness to the land.

Most people don't realize that the Journey of Regeneration, a Chosen's most traditional duty, ends in the Chosen's death. And even if they do...well, we're not exactly counted among the human population.
