So, like, how did people even figure out about the filters and stuff, huh? On the journals? I mean, the very very very first people who came here. I'm betting the castle didn't exactly give them a manual on "How to Use Your Journal to Maximum Effect While You Try Not to Get Mad About the Fact That I've Done Gone and Kidnapped You". Or maybe it did, I mean sometimes the castle is all helpful, and sometimes it's not... It's like it can't make up its mind. Worse than me when I'm trying to decide between cookie dough and brownie fudge ice-cream.

But aaaaaaaaaaanyway, filters. I mean, who was the first person to find out 'hey, if I write this person's name before I start talking or writing or whatever, no one else will be able to see it'? How did they test it? How did they start stretching it to see that, 'wow, I don't even have to know someone's name to filter to them'? And then someone would have found out about filtering to groups of people, and people who gave them fake names, and all sorts of stuff... And like, it couldn't have happened overnight, could it? But now, everyone knows about it and it's just one of those things that we have to tell the newbies. I dunno, I'm just curious.

I could probably find this out for myself, if I read some of the early pages in the old journal, but I dunno where it is right now. Well, I know where it is: it's in my room somewhere. It miiiiight have gotten swallowed by a mountain of Teen Vogue.
