There's a kitten on my bed!

I just found it, and I'm not sure what to do. Do kittens need milk instead of food? Is there a certain kind of milk they need?

[If anyone should happen to be in the lobby today, they might be able to spot a certain Tamer sitting quietly in a hugely overstuffed chair and drawing. It is a very peaceful scene.

Up until his new temporary loss starts.

It starts with a gradual golden glow that covers his skin and hides him from sight. Suddenly it flashes brightly and vanishes, leaving behind an intricate projection of red grid lines constantly moving over the boys skin. Anyone familiar with digital matters might be able to recognize the new addition to Takato's appearance as a grid frame.

Takato takes the sudden change with his customary reaction to surprising new events. He panics, scrambles awkwardly to his feet, and somehow manages to trip over the edge of his chair and fall onto the ground. After a few more seconds of panicking he manages to grab his journal and open it.]

Um, help! Something just happened and I don't know what it is!

Is everyone okay? I could see the comments in the journals about what was happening, but I couldn't get out to help at all.

...I was really worried.

[For the past few days Takato has been busily working on a new project. He wanted to make it perfect, so he'd stayed in his room and started it over and over again until he was sure he had the perfect artwork.

He had finally finished it this morning, and now he was standing in front of his door uncertainly. He glances down at the large poster in his hand, then looks back at the door. Finally he pulls out his journals and dictates a single question into it.]

Um, does anyone know a good way to put a drawing on a door? I don't think I want to use tape, but I can't think of anything else.

[Takato's voice is a little more cheerful today. He's still not back to his usual optimistic self. Not yet. But judging from the thump of closing of cupboards and the rattle of pans, at least he is finding something to do.]

I thought that making some bread might be nice today. Back home I always helped Mom and Dad knead the dough when I was sad. Or my friends came and baked with me. It always made me feel better.

[A pause as he goes to open the cabinet under the counter.]

Would anyone w-

[And then he breaks off with a surprised yell as Edward waves at him from inside the cupboard. There is a prolonged series of crashing sounds as the boy drops everything as he flails in surprise.]

[After nearly two weeks asleep, Takato has finally woken up. After a few minutes of thinking he slowly opens the journal and begins speaking into it in a saddened tone of voice.]

For a moment I hoped.... But I guess it wasn't a dream.

Guilmon is really gone.

I can't find Guilmon anywhere. Please, can anyone tell me if they've seen him?

I've been looking everywhere. But he isn't even showing up on my D-Arc.

I've been talking to a lot of people from other worlds. It's really interesting, isn't it? All the different worlds and times people here are from.

But I've started to get a little curious about something.

Has anyone here ever heard of a Digital World?

[Today from the journals you might hear the slightly hesitant voice of a boy.]

Hello? Am I using this thing right? It still doesn't make very much sense to me.

Ah, but anyway. I guess I had a few questions to ask.

Is everyone okay? I've heard a lot of stuff about people getting sick. Is there anything I could do to help?

Ah, also I've been thinking about something. I don't know what my loss is yet, but my best friend can't eat his favorite food anymore. Can anyone think of any foods that are easy to learn how to make? I want to try and find some new favorite foods for him.

But I don't know very much about cooking. Just baking, and that won't work anymore.

[There is the faint sound of a pencil tapping, and then a child's hesitant voice.]

Um, hello? Can anyone hear me? My name is Takato, and I think I'm lost. Um, very lost? I mean, the last thing I remember I was in West Shinjuku, and this doesn't look anything like it.

I know it's impossible, but I can't help but wonder if this is some part of the Digital World. Even though this doesn't look like any part of it I ever saw.

[He laughs softly.]

Maybe I'm dreaming again.
