 I've been talking to a lot of people from other worlds.  It's really interesting, isn't it?   All the different worlds and times people here are from. 

But I've started to get a little curious about something.  

Has anyone here ever heard of a Digital World?

Yeah, I have. Same one as yours, or similar anyway. You ever know a kid named Ken Ichijouji? He had a Digimon partner, too.

No, I don't think I've ever met someone like that. I didn't know there were other kids with partners.

He might've been from a different time. Wormmon was his partner - cute guy.

We don't have anything like that where I'm from, sorry to say. Be pretty awesome if we did.

I've never met a Wormmon. But I've seen the card before.

After this last year, it's kind of hard to imagine a world without a digital world.

Heh, I bet. Well, it's hard for me to think of life without my AI buddy, so I kinda know what you mean.

I've heard a little bit about it. What is the grid like?

Oh, it's vast. Massive. Goes on forever ... the sky's very different from here. No great big, energy-inefficient sun. It's dark, but there's circuitry and lighting everywhere in the City, so it isn't like no one can see anything...

It really sounds like an amazing place. Completely different from the Digital World I went to.

Oh yeah? ... What's yours like, then? [offhandedly, he wonders if it's anything like the original Encom grid. he has faint memories of it, from the residual 1.0 files Flynn left in to build him from...]

There was in my world. I even went there once. It was like another world where everything was made out of data.

...I guess I shouldn't be so surprised. Since I got here I've figured out that anything is possible.

It can be pretty strange here sometimes. I noticed that. But I don't think its bad.

Oh no, it's not a bad thing at all just...different to what I'm used to.

[A pause] I'm Carol by the way. I don't think we've met.

It did!

...But it could be scary sometimes too. And very strange.

Because everything in the Digital World is real.
