[It's 2am. Pitch is lounging by the pool, in the dark. He's chosen the middle of the night for this because he figures most of the Castle will be asleep and unlikely to bug him (which, of course, means people definitely should come bug him).

And then he decides to make a journal entry. Call it an experiment, to see who else is awake.]

Quiet, isn't it.

[His tone is ominous. He doesn't actually know whether or not this is a "calm before the storm" situation, but he definitely wants everyone else to think it might be.]

(Deb had been cooped up for far too long, recovering from the reopened gunshot wound in her side. Ever since her arrival. It seems to have healed up pretty well though and she can't sleep so she decides to take a walk around. She hasn't had much of a chance to look around since she got here so why not take the opportunity now while everyone else in the castle is asleep? Well, that's what she thinks anyway. Sure, it's pretty dark but that doesn't bother her.

She's walking by the pool when she hears that ominous voice and she pretty much jumps out of her skin. Her hand automatically moves to where her gun usually is but she doesn't pull it out. Then she spots the outline of a figure in the dark.)

Jesus fucking Christ you scared the fucking shit out of me! Someone is there right? I better not be fucking imagining things.

[He could not say anything, and scare her. That would be fun. Buuuut on the other hand... revealing his presence would also be fun. Unlike on his own world, so many people here can see him, and it gives him a little thrill each time.]

No, you aren't. I'm here.

But what are you doing here, so late at night?

(Deb would never admit it out loud to anyone but she had always been a believer in unseen things that exist in the night and in the darkness ever since she was a kid. Usually people grow out of that sort of thing and she had...until she had been kidnapped by a serial killer and had been shot in a dark parking lot. Even though they were things that she could physically see there was always something in the back of her mind that told her that things lived in darkness...and she knew she was fucking crazy to even believe it for a second. But there you go, she did.

Which is why she can see a dark shadow right now and it sent a chill through her. When she speaks it's cautious.)

I've been stuck in my room for far too long I thought I'd stretch my legs. That alright with you? ...What are you doing here so late?

I don't have to sleep.

[He shifts, but doesn't stand up.]

It is 2 in the morning. Did you expect people to be partying?

[Conan was slightly irritated to be awake in the first place. He might have had the mind (and occasionally the insomnia) of an adult, but he had the body of a child. It did not appreciate late nights.]

Like many quiet nights in Paradisa before this, Felix is ensconced with a book, his journal predictably nearby to catch any sign of trouble (although he's beginning to flag at this hour).]
