[The celebration continues in Paradisa. With so much going on, it's easy to catch the excitement high spirits that seems to be spreading among the townspeople--and even the residents.

In the courtyard, the same bright, inviting lights remain.

The two figures from before have left, replaced by two more. They stand poised, almost as if they are waiting to be approached. Will you?

Just past the gates, there seem to be an endless row of crates filled with various fireworks of all shapes and sizes. It seems Paradisa may be hinting at something.]

FIREWORKS COMPETITION

[There is a clearing outside that is now filled with crates upon crates of fireworks. They come in all sorts of colors, shapes, sizes, and are just waiting to be launched. Conveniently, there are firework and rocket launchers nearby.

A short distance away is a row of several chairs, each with large boards set just beside them. The back of the chairs read "JUDGE". It seems Paradisa is trying to incite a bit of friendly competition in the form of fireworks.

Anyone is welcome to set off the rockets or sit back and score their attempts. Which will you do?]

[Spike's eyeing the fireworks, but at least has the sense to keep away from them.

You know, because you don't want a fire breathing creature too close to explosives]

[ She's not going to mess with fireworks, so Kate will be by a tree in the courtyard instead, leaning against it to watch the fireworks. ]

[OH HELL YES FIREWORKS. Mark is all over this, rooting through them to find ones that look interesting and building up his own little show pile]

[ Lucrezia was standing along the sidelines with her hands pressed against her ears. The fireworks are exceedingly loud. It is only when she notices the figure piling up the bundles that she approaches, hands still in position. She shouts over the noise. ]

Is the castle testing its cannons?

[he hollers back, not recognizing her voice under the noise] No, these are fireworks! More for show! They're not actually weapons!

[ They are decidedly frightening for a show. ] Why must they be so loud?

[Dairine is nearby and also rooting though the fireworks, with a look that spells out trouble.

Has she told anyone about her childhood pyro tendencies? No? Good.]

[Wheatley shuffles in, looking around rather suspiciously. He looks like a hell of a suspicious dude, just walking around, hands in his lab coat, circling around the vicinity of the fireworks a few times. When suddenly, an idea sparked into his head]

"Oh...oh what have we here? Oh what are these doing here? Just a, just a set of explosives just... just sitting here? Mmm. That's strange, and certainly can't be that safe. Haha, in fact, this... this is a hazard isnt it? Some unsuspecting passerby could just accidentally light one of these, and then... BOOM! I mean, it would be an awful scene, just thinking about the outcome makes me a little sick really. Eugh. Can you imagine it, just the severed parts, everywhere? There would be the fire too, that would be a problem. You-you'd have the fire on one side... and the severed body parts on another. It would be truly, truly tragic, really.

[He doesn't sound very sad when he's saying that. And is he talking to himself? He sounds like as if he's talking to everyone in the vicinity. Someone needs to keep an eye on this guy, fo' realz.]

[He turns around to see her.]

"Eh?
Well funny enough, would you... would you believe me if I said no? No, not particularly, not until recently. You know, until recently I had someone to do the talking for me, hehehe. Annoying little bugger he was, hehe."

"Oh, but you... you, look at you. Actually, I don't have the slightest clue who you are, really. But I-"

[He clears his throat]

[He gives a rather clumsy looking bow. It succeeds in making him look proper, at least. What a strange guy.]

[He clears his throat, looking at the fireworks again. He keeps looking over at the fireworks every few words he says.]

"Yes yes, okay fantastic, now that we've gotten to know eachother, can you tell me what the deal with this castle is? Everytime I ask someone, anyone it's as if no one can give me any useful information."

[He is still slightly new.]

[he glares at you, not liking at all how any of that sounded.]

May-Maybe? If so I didn't think so. Sarcasm, by the way mate. In case, in case you can't catch sarcasm. I'm just trying to point out the safety hazards of this place but nooooo, let's go on and tell Wheatley to shut up when he's clearly expressing concerrnnn. H-here's an idea mate, okay, okay are you ready?

How about you... go off... and find the nearest incineration pit. And then... and then just jump in it? Or better yet, or better yet... better yet, look! Fireworks! Fireworks bundled up just for you! Stacks and stacks of fireworks to go KILL YOURSELF with. There's even stacks just in case, just... in case you mess up.

For a guy who isn't talking to me, you sure are saying a lot. I just want to make sure you talking about hurting people with those fireworks are nothing more than a stupid idea. Because if it was more than an idea, it would really suck for you.

[Durge has taken a more academic interest in the fireworks. He's seen these work before on another world, but never really got a chance to examine them.

So he's doing that now.

Anyone who might walk by will find the knight is in the process of carefully dissecting a firework with a dagger]

[At first she thinks he's just gearing up to take part in the competition but Vivian soon realises that's not the case.

He walks a fair distance away from the crowd -- and then stops, abruptly. He doesn't do anything else, at least not immediately. Just stands there with a bunch of fireworks. WHAT DO, VIVIAN?]
