[Perhaps it's the hand of providence. Perhaps it's the unseen, unknown yet still present hand of an omniscient magical castle. Perhaps someone had a surplus left over from July 4th...

Whatever the reason, it seems like resort employees are compelled to deliver boxes of fireworks around for the enjoyment of families currently staying at the resort. For families to shoot off themselves! What could possibly be more fun than that? There are sparklers and rockets and pretty much anything fireworks-ey you can imagine, for the whole family to enjoy. For EVERYONE in the whole family to enjoy.

Do try not to burn down your cabin, as you'll be paying for it if you do! Aim rockets to go out over the lake. Otherwise, enjoy.]

[Who doesn't want to set off fireworks? Well, you don't, apparently. It's okay, we can roll with that. Step away from the chaos and enjoy the show here. Bonus: you're right next to the water in case the whole place catches on fire.]

[Oh, no, it's cool. Korra's totally excited enough for everyone. In fact, she's grabbed an armful and is making her way to the shore with a grin on her face.

Somewhere behind her should be Once-ler doing... something, she's not sure what. Either way, she's almost ready to go!]

[Plodding, mostly. And looking very, very nervous]

Korra, I really don't think any of our family members should be near explosives. Not after what happened.

Hey, Zuko's not here, and it was really his fault in the first place. We'll be fine.

[She sets them down and glances at her brother.]

Plus, we have goggles this time. That's what Greg drilled into us.

No, but I still don't want to take that chance again. Coming home to a mauled sibling isn't something anyone wants to repeat.

[And that gets a groan]

I'm pretty sure he made us wear those because they make us look like idiots.

[Korra turns to him, "goggles" already in place.]

No way! They're awesome, and you know it.

[Sister...No sister, don't]

I am not wearing one those things. My dignity has been battered enough this week.

[Korra snorts, amused at the thought of him even having dignity. She'll sidestep on over, a green pair in her hand now.]

C'monnnn~

[He blinks raising a finger and pointing at the shades in confusion]

Where did you even get those from?

I got them just for you, dear brother.

Have enough fireworks?

[A while later, once everybody got their own supplies of fireworks, he's got a handful of sparklers in the back pocket of his pants. On the other, a big rocket! He's crouching, leaning against one tree near the lake, alone, holding a sparkler and watching it consume itself.

Come bother him?]

[Carol quite likes fireworks but she would rather watch them from a distance rather than being within the firing range so to speak. So here she is back on the lake shore like she has been every day of the vacation so far. There's just something about the water that soothes and relaxes her.

She turns back towards the cabins to see a few fireworks go off and she spots him..well, she's too polite to actually go over and bother him but she does give him a small smile and an even smaller wave.]

...Keeping out of the way too?

[Looks up at the woman speaking at him, trying to see if he remembers her from somewhere, for all he knew she could be some long distant aunt. Probably, but hey, she asked him a question, stop spacing out!]

Something like that. [Which, he was, but not from the fireworks, only from his sister.]

[Well, she's pretty sure that she's not seen him around here but it would be easy to miss people since there's just so many around. But no, as far as she knows anyway the only person she's related to around here is her husband, Daryl. She's definitely up for meeting new people though.

She nods in his direction] I prefer to watch from a distance, you get a much better view.

[Ah, she's right, they better start lighting up the big ones soon, but for now he's pretty entertained with the little sparklers. Stands, and approaches to the woman just a couple of steps away. Takes one of the many sparklers he's got in his pocket and offers it to her.]

Want one?

[Allen rather not be near his family while they are playing with explosives, it might trigger another round of the Tiki torch incident spiel. So instead he's sitting on the shore, attempting to skip stones as he watches some fireworks explode in the distance]

_{[Vanyel is taking Yfandes for a walk. The mare was used to loud noises, so the fireworks didn't bother her, but was currently keeping watch as she waded in the water, a white ghost in the evening.]}

You're skilled at that. I never had the knack for it myself.

[he'll turn to the voice]

Ah- thanks! I do it a lot when we're at lakes.

Vanyel. I wish I could say I knew how we're related, but I'm not sure. And the map they gave us just confuses me, to be honest.

[a sheepish laugh as he shakes his hand. Well, it HAS been awhile since they've seen each other and Allen has grown so...]

Um, I'm Allen Stark, actually. You know...one of Tsuna's half brothers?
