I know this perhaps a bit forward of me, but I realized I've been here two months now and haven't met many of you yet, or what your powers do, and I suspect I'm probably not the only one. I also have something I'd like to propose to other members of the council. With that in mind, I'd like to call a meeting at, oh... say five o'clock?

Howl, I expect to see you there.


[And Clow will be in the Chimera main room, already ensconced in a chair. There is a nice big teapot out, and a plate of biscuits, because he feels like being properly English about this right now

Ah, well, good evening then. My name's Vanyel, but I think you all more or less know that by now...

[Felix looks vaguely bemused as he moves to the table]

If I didn't know any better Clow, I'd think you were scheming to take over.

My dear, what would ever lead you to think that? I was simply taking some initiative.

[Is he flirting? Yes. Does he mean anything by it? Nah.]

[The empty flirting is actual comforting in his familiarity]

Initiative and ambition are closely related, darling, though I do appreciate it.

Duke : Arrivals + introductions

[ Duke is just.. going to try not to walk into anyone. Any odd sense of moving magic is very likely his fault - he circles it about, getting a feel for what is where - in a vague sense of 'something alive' is here, and 'something that was alive' is there.

Chairs are a bit harder. Its safer to find a flat space of wall, and pretend he can see and likes standing. He knows at least three of the group know he can't see, but that won't stop him from turning to look in the rough direction of every speaker. ]

[Clow is a terrible meddler, so Duke will feel a very slight tugging, like a string on one hand. If he follows it, it'll lead his hand to an empty chair back. And if anyone else senses the spell, CLOW KNOWS NOTHING.

He'll drop it in a few minutes if it's being ignored, though]

[Phoebe looks a little less put together than usual. Her wedding's in two and a half weeks and there's still a lot to be done, after all. But that didn't keep her from making an appearance at the meeting.

She gives a little smile]

I'm sure most of you know me already but I'm Phoebe Halliwell.

And I'm Clow Reed - it's a pleasure to meet those of you I haven't before, and to have a real introduction to others.

[There's a small nod in Duke's direction at that last one - they weren't exactly in a situation where manners mattered much before]

It's a pleasure to meet you, too. [Phoebe smiles] I have to say it was a surprise to see someone other than Felix calling a meeting like this.

Now that we've dispensed with the pleasantries, I believe you had some important order of business to bring up, Clow?

I did - but I think we're still waiting on at least one more person.

[ Duke speaks up after the planning of magic trip seems to fade. And he might as well speak properly so his meaning is clear. ]

The wards. I know I have offered a kind, however to make them last I need access to what could be described as crystallized chunks of magic. If no one has a way to do this, regardless of the 'kind' of magic gathered, I will start planning a way to adapt the methods of one from my world who did something similar.

[ There. Now he's spoken properly enough for the entire meeting. ]

Crystalized "chunks" of magic?

[Phoebe raises an eyebrow] I don't have anything like that but I do have magic crystals that we use to create barriers and a sort of magical alarm system in my world. I don't know if that's of any help, though...

[If he were smart, he'd leave the moment all this meeting nonsense had been concluded. But he's not quite so quick to abandon his tea, even if he does look about as petulant as a wet cat about the whole thing.]
