Twenty-Fifth House of Westeros ♛ Dictated

Age is a thing to ponder, of what lies waiting for us back home. [She thinks of the Vale, and what is to become of Alayne Stone. Sansa Stark must be dead, she tells herself.]

Does the castle truly know what is to be if some did not age while others did? [Was it an omen?] I know little of magic, as its use has long since died where I am from. Perhaps this is but another trick. None can foretell the future.

I should have liked to grown old, though I have not an idea of what my father's wishes. [She is simply relieved to be away and free of Lannisters, let alone planning for what is to come. No doubt Petyr has something planned. She briefly thinks of Winterfell, the promise he once made.]

I have safety while Westeros is still torn. The castle would like me to believe that isn't so, I presume.

The North is a kingdom of Westeros, though for a brief time recently it held it's own king. It is bordered by the Wall as it's northernmost boundary, but there is still land above it, where the wildlings live.

Then it's literally just called "The North" despite the fact that there's something north of it?

It is the northernmost kingdom in Westeros.

True, but it does still seem a little misleading, doesn't it?

Those from my lands know there is more beyond.

Well as long as no one visiting has any trouble with it.

It's something that is just... known. No one goes above the Wall save the Night's Watch.

And the Night's Watch are who exactly?

They protect the Wall, sworn by oath.

From anyone north of the North?

From the Wildlings.

Of course, that was the name. Not exactly a pleasant one, is it?

They've no king. They invade our lands. The Night's Watch keeps us safe.

I'm not sure I can criticize much about the whole king part, though the invasion is another matter. Good to have the Night's Watch there on your wall.

They have been there for thousands of years. We are grateful to their duty.

Thousands? Now that is some time...

Indeed. It is said that they have protected the realm ever since. I was once told stories of their bravery. [And she knows her brother Jon has it all the same.]

Vague stories about a bunch of guys being brave or actual ones with characters and the like?

Many of them have names, but stories of the Night's Watch interested-- others. [Her brothers, Bran and Jon.] I liked the stories with brave men and ladies who became princesses.

Ah, the classics then?

I was fond of them as a child.

And what are you fond of these days?

I do needlework most often. Though I did enjoy the ride on your broom. [It seems so strange to say that.]

[ Needlework? That doesn't sound exciting to him. The other thing, however... ]
