I know this might seem to be coming out of nowhere and perhaps a bit dark, but, please indulge me if you will.

I have heard the stories and the theories and assertions that when we are sent home, if we are sent home, we are returned to the time and place at which we were originally taken, as if our worlds had stopped in our absence. How many of you believe this is true? Can something truly be so powerful? And do you fear what has happened in your absence, if it is not?

Nope. We've got monsters hunting us all the time, and we sometimes go on dangerous quests. It gets rough.

Yeah? Do the monsters stay dead?

Then you're better off than me. Our monsters keep coming back.

I cause plenty of trouble. Plus, apparently we have a smell that attracts monsters. So we can't catch a break.

Well... sort of. [except it's aliens and not monsters, sob] I'll probably still attract monsters if they show up here.
