He stiffens for a moment as he lifts off the ground. He doesn't move right away, eyes casting around for something he could grab hold of to keep himself from touching that... thing.]

The gravity pulls him ever closer, until his feet touch the surface, the liquid parting to make way for him.
...And then the gravity turns back on. Ouch, sorry buddy, that probably hurt]

[The curse he'd started when his feet touched the liquid was abruptly cut off when the gravity kicked back in and he falls - that is the rest of him falls. How the hell are his feet stuck in WATER?!
His arms reach out, trying to grab hold of something - anything - to keep himself from hitting the floor... or from being absorbed into the blue glowing ball of whatever that is.]

He grunts as he struggles against the pull - even know he instinctively knows that with quicksand the harder you fight the quicker you sink (even though quicksand wouldn't actually kill you). This was something unknown that he was completely unprepared for and unwilling to go into quietly.]
