THE EVENT HORIZON - DAY TWO
[Something during the night has activated the ship's gravity core. There seems to be no evidence as to what caused it. Everything within the ship remains stable, but the ship itself shakes violently, and deep in the bowels, a ominous rumbling sound can be heard]

stupidbrave enough to run down and investigate that core thing again. He has such a bad feeling, it's not even funny. He'll be shielding his eyes when he sees that light, taking a few slow steps towards it as the light died down and finding himself face-to-face with the blue-grey surface. No way in hell he's touching it though.]

It appears the Drive has been activated. There must be some way to power it down, as whatever it does, it cannot help us.

Once it fades he lowers his arm and frowns at it. What the hell is this thing, really? He steps closer, trying to get a better look at the... water?]

Studies the water once the light dispenses, wondering if he can track down a container or something to put it in. Without the proper gear, he's not interested in doing too much experimenting with it. Maybe he can track down a small tube and if not, leave it be.]

Her jaw drops at this sight, and she wonders why nobody reported it. This isn't what she had heard described yesterday, so it must be something entirely different. She feels mesmerized by the light, seeing the purity rather than feeling the darkness.
She stands close, some small voice in the back of her head warning her to go seek someone's assistance, but there's no one who will be willing to risk themselves for her this way. Nobody she's found today. So after one more look around, Anne leans in and reaches up so she can watch her fingertips splay against what looks like...water. ]

AROUND THE SHIP
Because now you'll be starting to catch glimpses of movement, out of the corner of your eyes. Perhaps even an odd noise here or there. The feeling that something invisible is watching you. But nothing seems to be around if you try to focus any attention on it]

He hears a noise and turns his head to inspect but doesn't see anything. When he turns his head back he catches somethig moving in the other direction, but once again when he turns he doesn't see anything.]

She has made herself small, bunched her skirt and folded her knees to fit into the tiny space, then kept as quiet as she can. Dull eyes cast down on the hands framing the clean scalpel laid on her lap. At least she doesn't seem physically hurt after her trip, with only her braids loosened and her fingers stained red.
But appearances can be deceiving. ]

He's muttering to himself as he drags his fingers across the wall, using a combination of ink and something else to write an equation on the wall. Anyone who gets close enough to look and studies what he's watching, will see he's writing loneliness + alienation + fear + despair + self-worth ÷ mockery ÷ condemnation ÷ misunderstanding × guilt × shame × failure × judgment n=y where y=hope and n=folly, love=lies, life=death, self=dark side over and over.]

Re: AROUND THE SHIP
His mind playing tricks? Maybe. Maybe not. What if there is something there?
We'll take care of it.
Will we? It always disappears.
Let me out. I'll find it.]
No, damnit!
[Webb pauses in his stalking of the halls. He's managed to clean the blood off of his face and hands, as well as the thick of it off his clothes. The dark clothing doesn't really show it, which is a plus, but right now David has bigger things on his mind.]
Let me... Let me think.
[Thinking isn't going to get us out of here.
Yes, it is Jason!
...Of course, to anyone else, it looks as though David may, or may not, be talking to himself. It might be part of the odd noises people are hearing on this ship... Who knows?]

but that control doesn't include seeing things.
every so often as she whips around, noticing something out of the corner of her eye, but nothing out of the "ordinary" is there. it's just a ship. and a lot of blood stains.
her eyes flick around for a moment before she turns and continues on.
another flash, something crunching... that definitely sounded like electricity. and yet there's nothing that could have generated that amount of power. there's nothing around.
unless there are people following her. ]

[He turns, heading for the door, not even seeming to care about the blood coating his hands and feet, smearing on the arm of his jacket as he shoves the door open. The incoherent muttering continues as he walks down the hallway. His movements are jerky, as if he's waking from a long sleep and still uncertain where all his limbs are.]

Now she's more unsettled and nervous than curious, and she wants desperately to find someone she's familiar with. Where did everyone go?
Every so often she whirls around to face a shadow that isn't there or a sound that she doesn't actually hear. Or did she?]

Occasionally she will stop and write something on the largest surface she can find. These are the moments in which she trembles, normally beautiful handwriting disjointed with her quiet sobs.
A QUEEN OF ENGLAND WILL BURN.
But then she looks down as if someone might be tugging at her skirts, because she can't have the time to linger now. Maybe she'll even play a game of chase with 'Prince Henry' later. They have the entire ship to themselves, and should anyone get in her way, they'll no doubt regret it. There is fear in her eyes. ]

But as she's sitting there, looking through the journal and holding out hope for a rescue, she's starting to get the feeling they're not alone in here. It's not much - little flickers of movement, small noises. Even so, she doesn't like it. It's too much like the gallery.]
