What a month this has been, huh? I don't remember much of what happened earlier in the month. Everything after the first couple of days is a blur to me. I remember a lot of yelling, scribbling, and I think...I hurt someone. If I did, I'm really sorry.

[Sighs, and there's soft cooing in the background.]

At least the month is almost over with. I'd say "hopefully the next month will be better", but I don't want to tempt fate. Instead, I'm going to say I hope everyone's recovering and healing up. Speaking of which, I wanted to thank everyone who helped out with the recovery effort in the City and is still helping out.

[What a day this turned out to be. Tim had originally planned to let Steph and Ezio spend the next couple of hours with Jack. He had decided to subscribe to the "keep your friends close and your enemies closer" ideology. Instead, everything became intense almost to the point of violence. So much for Ezio behaving himself around the baby. He is willing to bet ten out of ten doctors would agree, yelling and threatening violence around a baby is not a good idea.

Thankfully, Jack is with him now and safe. As much as he had wanted to turn around and kick Ezio in the teeth, he wasn't going to put Jack at risk. He'd rather Jack get to meet Cass and spend sometime with her.]

I have heard no one else speak of the city and it's trauma since our return. It is good to know some are still offering their efforts, and I do hope the coin collected from the masquerade was put to good use for the people.

I'm still actively working on helping out there. I've donated some money and I'm going to help organize a fundraiser. The city I'm from got rocked by a powerful earthquake, so their situation hits home with me.

I have not been able to travel to the city since our return to the castle. How well does the restoration pace?

Pretty good, actually. Most of the city is functional again.

The roads? Have they been cleared?

[It's been days now with no word from Stephanie or Tim and truthfully, Cass isn't handling it very well. What if they're tired of sharing their space with her and that's why she hasn't seen them? It's happened before, Stephanie just called off their training lessons and stopped visiting with no idea how important those few hours were to Cass, so maybe it's happened again.

She's on the roof when she hears someone approaching because it's terrible, being stuck in the house when no one else is there. Her head pops up and she smiles when she sees Tim, but it dims when she sees the lack of Stephanie and the baby in her place. Still, it's Tim and things with Tim are good now, so when she waves to him it's still with an expression of being desperately glad to see him.]

Thought you'd... gotten lost, or something.

Cass, hey.

[Tim's mood increases dramatically at the sight of Cass, and he knows right then and there he is done with all things Ezio. He's not worth the time and energy Tim has spent on him. He'd rather spend that energy on Cass. Plus, Steph was able to keep Ezio in check and Tim recognizes the importance in that. If Ezio didn't have attachments to this place, he'd likely be much more violent. ]

I'm sorry we didn't say anything to you sooner, the past couple of days have been rough. [At times, completely and entirely stressful.]

They've also been great. This is Jack. [Lifts up Jack's arm, gently making him wave to her.]

This is Aunt Cassie.

[She leaps down from the roof, cape flapping behind her, eyes on the baby and a faint frown on her lips.]

Not an ant. Human. There were tests, human for sure.

[But she waves to Jack just the same.]

Oh, I meant an a-u-n-t and not an a-n-t. An aunt is what you call your mother or father's sister.

[Tim obviously notices she is in her Batgirl suit, but he doesn't say anything about it. His body language doesn't give off any signals of being annoyed or upset by it.]

We've both had an eventful day today. Steph said she'll be along soon.

[She makes a face because gross, alternate ways to spell things definitely means it's going to be harder to learn the whole writing thing.]

Not... related, though.

[That explanation really didn't help, but the lack of reaction to her suit and the mention of Steph coming soon make Cass light up. She reaches for Tim's arm, tugging him inside where she can hug him while still being careful of the baby.]

What recovery effort?

Around the beginning of the month, the castle and surrounding city got hit by a powerful earthquake. The castle recovered quickly because of the magic within it, the city wasn't nearly as lucky.

That's a shocker. [ Sarcasm, sarcasm. ]

What does the city need?

Mostly materials and labor to rebuild. A lot of the roads are still cracked and several buildings are unstable and need to be torn down.

The tearing down I can help with, but I'm not doing any heavy lifting.

I wouldn't think too much about what happened if I were you. You probably wouldn't like any answers you managed to dig up.

As for me, I'm still working on that healing up, but Cass liberated a wheelchair for me, so at least I'm not completely bedbound if I can sneak past the clinic staff.

Isn't knowing better than not knowing? I don't know, if I hurt someone I'd like to try and make it right.

I don't think it's so much a case of me having morals, as you being really obvious.

That's true. Why not take a potion or something to heal up?

I like the moral thing a lot more.

I'm not a fan of magic. I'm very anti-magic, in fact. [Because when you have a fuzzy orange peanut threatening you with nonexistent ~magic~ for five years of your life, you tend not to want anything to do with it]

Hey, it is! Looking much better than before. There's still a lot of work to be done, but the city's starting to resemble what it looked like before.

Alright. I had to kind of shift priorities after that outer space mindscrew thing, and now with the magic babies and everything... but I should be able to go back into the swing of things. Uh, when I'm not working on this car thing.

[He's actually kind of excited about the prospect of having projects again, that's so much better than lounging around idle and worried.]

Tell me about it. If June is anything like May, I'm going to go nuts.

[Laughs when he says it, making a joke--but in his head he's thinking there's a distinct possibility that might happen.]

Last year in June, I think we were at some kind of stupid summer camp thing. Not so bad, comparatively.
