What a month this has been, huh? I don't remember much of what happened earlier in the month. Everything after the first couple of days is a blur to me. I remember a lot of yelling, scribbling, and I think...I hurt someone. If I did, I'm really sorry.

[Sighs, and there's soft cooing in the background.]

At least the month is almost over with. I'd say "hopefully the next month will be better", but I don't want to tempt fate. Instead, I'm going to say I hope everyone's recovering and healing up. Speaking of which, I wanted to thank everyone who helped out with the recovery effort in the City and is still helping out.

[What a day this turned out to be. Tim had originally planned to let Steph and Ezio spend the next couple of hours with Jack. He had decided to subscribe to the "keep your friends close and your enemies closer" ideology. Instead, everything became intense almost to the point of violence. So much for Ezio behaving himself around the baby. He is willing to bet ten out of ten doctors would agree, yelling and threatening violence around a baby is not a good idea.

Thankfully, Jack is with him now and safe. As much as he had wanted to turn around and kick Ezio in the teeth, he wasn't going to put Jack at risk. He'd rather Jack get to meet Cass and spend sometime with her.]

I'm not a fan of it, but some of it is' okay. Unfortunately, more often than not magic ends up in the wrong hands.

A power like that is not something any person should have control over. It is God who offers us miracles.

...Though I have known good souls here who seem to know magic, and I suppose I would prefer human hands wielding the power to nurture or destroy, over that of a faceless castle.

I'd disagree and say we are the ones who make things happen. I don't believe we need magic or a divine being to make something amazing happen. If we put faith in ourselves, we can accomplish a lot.

You clearly misunderstand my meaning, so I will forgive that trespass. Any man or woman can always accomplish great things, but that is not what a miracle is. What man earns through hand and wit, as opposed to what man is graciously bestowed when he feels he has nothing left to give. A miracle is God Almighty's gift only; something that no man could or should be capable of where I am from.

[ Like raising the dead, holy damn. Any that do claim it are labeled witch, of course, but the Catholic church is much more gung-ho about that chase. Anne knows it's more politically sound to befriend Morgana Pendragon rather than piss her off. ]

[If there is one thing Tim has learned in life, it's debating politics or religion over the internet is pointless. He's sure the same holds to be true over the journals.]

Where I come from, the more ambition someone has towards helping others, the better. Gotham needs all the goodness it can get.

I do. At least, I've heard of you in my world. You could be very different than the person I know of.

And what of this person you know of? Mayhap I would hear of her before I tell you of me.
