[Tim stares at his journal for a good few minutes, trying to decide what to say or write. After spending nearly a month lost in a sea of research or working, his brain is having a hard time getting back into "social Alvin Draper" mode.

He browses some of his old journal entries to recharge his memory. After a few more minutes pass, an idea pops into his head. Maybe Cass' curiosity will lure her in to respond or she'll track him down to give him a look.]

So, hey. I've got a strange request--or at least it might sound strange! I promise it's not as strange as it sounds. In fact, it's a lot of fun.

When I first came here, I was running a pencil and paper game for my friends, using a D20 system. The game we were playing was Warlocks and Warriors. You pick a base class, draw up a character sheet, and then a storyteller guides you through stories. You roll the twenty sided die to help determine the outcome of different challenges. At one point, I had a group of three which is a good number for beginners. Unfortunately, two of the players went home. Well, that's not really unfortunate for them! But you know what I mean.

If anyone is interested in playing, I could teach you, or I'm sure my girlfriend, Stephanie Brown, would be happy to help. She also plays with me.

[Pats his side, signaling for Ace to join him.]

We'll be back. C'mon, boy. Let's go get some snacks. I'll grab you a couple of treats, since chocolate's no good for you.

[If it hadn't been for mishap earlier, Cass would be getting up now to kiss his cheek goodbye. As it is, she stays where she is and smiles at him.]

We can... get stuff out, ready. To help.

[secondchances]

We can? Oh, I mean. Yeah, we can.

[She wants to be lazy, though :( ]

[Out shopping and all that good stuff!]

[They can help, but not yet. It'll take Tim awhile, so for now Cass turns to Steph...

And tackles her! Tickle fight while Tim is gone, it's becoming a thing.]

HEY!

[Cue the typical shrieking and flailing about. Whoops, messing up the bed. Sorry, Tim.]

[dorkwonder]

[Doop. Doop. Doop.

Fast forward to half an hour or so later. FIGHT ME.

Tim pushes the door open with his shoulder and calls out to his ladies.]

Hey, I'm back.

[hellofist]

[FITES YOU.

When Tim returns, he'll find a very swanky looking fort built in the living room and all the not-refrigerator items lining the counters. There's even bowls and mixing spoons set out.

[There may or may not be one or two Batgirls in said fort trying to stifle any giggles. Shh...]

[Stares at the mixing bowls and then the chocolate cake is holding.]

Oh, I thought you wanted me to go and buy cake. Not make it.

[hellofist]

[See, those cultural differences strike again. Sometimes Cass forgets you can even do that, go out and get food that's prepared instead of going for the ingredients and having to make it for yourself. She stays in the tent when she answers.]

Guess we can... do that next time.

Yes, next time.

Enter and bring the goods with you, traveler.

[Steph doesn't care as long as there's a cake in her future.]

How do I know this isn't a trap? [Smirks, standing outside of the fort with all of the goodies in his arms. He grabbed the pop, chips, cake, and there might even be ice cream in a plastic bag.]

Guess that's risk... you have to take.

[Ooooh so ominous.]

Where's your sense of adventure?

The two of you tickled it out of me. I'll deliver the goods to complete the quest if my reward is a tickle free zone.

[And then, quietly and clearly addressed to Steph,]

Was getting cake quest?

Yeah, it was a quest.

I guess we can leave him alone for now. Since he has cake.
