[it's Saturday, so it's time to kick back and enjoy the lovely sights of Hogsmeade. Have a drink at the Three Broomsticks, grab some sweets from Honeydukes, or dare to check out the famously haunted Shrieking Shack! Just kick back and enjoy yourselves today!

[Vicious had already ascertained that he was now too young to convince anyone to give him alcohol which... sucked, basically. But he also needed to eat, so here he was, staring at everything like he wished it would start on fire. Maybe he'd find some way to do that before the week was up. That'd be a good use for all the pointless magic he was being bombarded with, at least.

Thoughts of arson were derailed, however, when he spotted a familiar figure sitting in the corner. Well, that was... He wasn't sure what, really. Almost nostalgic, maybe, but not in a good way. Which is why he just stood there staring for longer than could really be considered polite.]

[Spike can sense someone staring, which is sort of expected since he looks like he's been in a fight, but his expression sinks when he looks up. For once, he's grateful he doesn't have the use of cybernetics to see him more clearly.

But that only lasts for a moment, because he's already spotted him and there's not much else he can do about it. So he bites out a smile and gives a curt wave, just so he knows that he remembers.]

[He should really just turn and walk out. After all, it's way too crowded for him to get away with strangling someone. But he can't make himself do it, so he walks over instead.

It doesn't surprise him that Spike looks beat up, he'd been varying degrees of bruised for most of their acquaintance. But he can't quite let it pass, either.]

Getting into trouble already?

[So Vicious isn't one with the brain slugs. At least, from first glance. -- He shrugs, like he isn't half as annoyed as he is to be stuck like this.]

There was an incident with a broom.

You got in a fight with a broom.

[The deadpan probably doesn't work so well coming from his 15-year-old self, but he keeps forgetting that.]

[And then a thought occurs to him]

Were you playing that ridiculous game?

[...It's eerie how close he sounds to the way he did back then. The thought throws him for a second.]

Not as easy as it looks.

Your piloting skills don't extend to cleaning supplies?

[It would be so easy to slip, to let the weird familiarity of this distract him from his anger. But this isn't the past, just a weird facsimile of it, thanks to the castle's tricks.]

How disappointing.

[Ridiculous was right. Vicious must be having a ball.]

That sounded like a compliment in there somewhere.

[That earned a scowl]

[He's peering at him a little too closely now. Really uncanny...]

It's been a tough few days, you have to give me something.

[He narrows his eyes against the scrutiny, although he has a good idea of how Spike feels. This close, he can see Spike's eyes, can see that they match, and it's all just a little eerie.]

I don't know, you seem to be fitting in.

[That's a laugh. He can only be grateful he isn't blending in as well as some others.]

You think so? Maybe I should have grown up to be a wizard instead.

[That's enough to jolt him out of the weird sense of nostalgia, at least for the moment.]

You should find out how they feel about betrayal before you commit.

[He smirks at how casually Vicious slips that in.]

Why? Are you seeing someone new?

[Well, he should have expected that, and it doesn't help that he's still a little sore over Gren's lack of discretion back in Tokyo, but he tries his best not to let anything show on his face]

Can't pick up anyone on you own?

[He backs off slightly, implication sufficing enough.]

I don't know how I'd feel about dating a wizard. I'd hate to see what happens when they get jealous.

[He smirks a little]

Might turn you into a frog.

[To think, anyone listening might assume they're friends right now.]

That's a pretty big risk to take.
