[it's Saturday, so it's time to kick back and enjoy the lovely sights of Hogsmeade. Have a drink at the Three Broomsticks, grab some sweets from Honeydukes, or dare to check out the famously haunted Shrieking Shack! Just kick back and enjoy yourselves today!

This is technically only open to third years and above, but if you can sneak out without teachers noticing more power to you!]

The Three Broomsticks

[this is a nice, homey atmosphere. You can have your butterbeer hot or chilled. There is also the option of pumpkin juice, firewhiskey for those eighteen and over, and a variety of delicious foods]

[Conan is sitting in the corner, staring gloomily at his glass of pumpkin juice.]

[What's that? An alcoholic drink and it's only available for ages eighteen and over? That's a sure sign that Pixy's there, and he sure as hell has a mug of firewhiskey for himself. At least the castle had the decency to de-age him to a point where he could still get an alcoholic drink somewhere.

So with his flight jacket folded over the back of his chair, he's sitting there alone at a table and looking smug as all hell. His puppy Weiss is with him again, laying under the table and away from the other patrons.]

[Meg takes a seat at the bar and orders a chilled butterbeer, sipping on it and waiting for her date to show. She can't remember which of her admirers she promised to spend today with, but she'll find out as soon as he shows up.]

[Vereesa is nursing her drink very slowly, more intent on reading the newspaper than anything else. She watches the headlining image dance before her with a rather bored expression before flipping through to the next page.]

[Wade has stopped here for lunch. The Hogwarts food is great, but there is something homey about this place that appeals to her. She sits at a table enjoying some butterbeer and fish and chips. As she eats, she practices some levitation charms on some table peanuts, trying to launch them through some floating napkin-rings, like a miniature Quidditch match.]

[From initially being completely unprepared for magic school, to wondering if half the people he know have been infested with brain slugs like last time, Spike is worn out. He's doing his best to avoid people he knows, so maybe getting lost in a corner of a pub is his solution.

Except he can't even get a firewhiskey to help him get to a state where he's more amused by the whole situation. Someone offer the poor kid a cigarette.]

[Chihiro is sitting at a table, busy trying to decide what she wants. This all looks really good!]

[Dairine is sitting at one of the tables, nursing a cup of Butterbeer as well as a black eye... the only trophy she got out of yesterday's Quidditch game. (Aside from the other less obvious bruises.) Members of the Slytherin team in the room might get dirty looks, especially if they are being too cheerful, as Dairine plots ways to get back at them broods.

[Castiel is drinking. If it were his choice, he would be drinking a lot.

Unfortunately, he is grading papers--he's always grading papers--and that means he can't be drunk. Alas. However, he really isn't getting a lot of work done either, fascinated at the moment by just watching the other people in the pub; he's about as approachable as he ever gets, if anyone has questions about Ancient Runes or just wants to say hi.]

Honeyduke's Sweet Shop

[you have some delicious candies waiting for you here! Chocolate Frogs and Sugar Quills seem harmless enough, but who would even buy an acid pop or Cockroach Cluster? And when they say "every flavor" for Bertie Botts, they mean it!]

[Percy is completely lost in almost all of his classes except Muggle Studies. But this is one thing he can understand and get behind. He's sucking on a Sugar Quill while browsing around for more snacks]

[Ohjiro is talking a walk through Honeydukes, looking over some of the rather curious candies. He's carrying some of the safer ones- like the chocolate wand and toffees, while Wizard was sitting on his shoulder holding a Sugar Quill. The place certainly had quite a selection, as odd as many of them might be.]

[The highlight of her week so far, Nepeta has saved up enough of her money to head over to the sweet shop and buy a good portion of the store's stock of Mice Pops. Even in alternate universes, some cravings just need to be sated. Even if they're just candy.

Nepeta can be found inside, Mice Pop half hanging out of her mouth while she keeps a bag of her loot slung over one shoulder and she checks out some other candies with the other hand.]

Chihiro feels that she should probably try a little bit of everything (that looks good anyway) but some of these things...

She's currently got a basket with a couple of things in it and is... staring in wonder at the cockroash clusters, wondering if anyone actually eats them. Gross!]

[Sheena's had enough of studying for the time being, so of course, she's taking a break down in the town. She'll stop by the Three Broomsticks later. Right now, it's time for some sweets!

But she can't decide between the Chocolate Frogs or the Crystallized Pineapple...]

[Alright, she usually doesn't head out to Hogsmeade, considering the effort she throws into her studies, but she can be found here in Honeyduke's to get some sugar before heading back. At the moment, she's looking through several boxes of chocolate frogs. She already had a few of the cards, so why not hope to boost her collection!]

[Brock is here, definitely not just pretending to look over the candies and definitely not just awkwardly loitering.

He's super definitely not waiting for anyone to show up. Nope.

[It is a shop filled with sweet food. Of course Katniss is there, and of course she is buying as much as she can get her hands on. She'll stockpile in her room.]

[Jennifer was completely charmed by the sweet shop as soon as she walked in. So much looked good, and she wasn't even sure where to start. Her eyes then fell on the... more unusual-looking sweets at the back of the shop.

She picked up an Acid Pop, furrowing her eyebrows as she studied it. They wouldn't sell candy that was actually real acid... ... would they?]

I wonder if "acid pop" just means citric acid...

Sugar is staring at the sweets display starry-eyed, trying to decide what she wants to buy. How she got here is anyone's guess, since first-years aren't supposed to be in Hogsmeade. (She probably took a wrong turn again.)]

[Barney's only been able to get out to Hogsmeade for a year now, but even so, he's already managed to sample most of the wares here. he's currently perusing the shelves near the back, where the less popular Muggle "magic" tricks are kept]

[this is another bar in town, but it's much more seedy and brings in some suspicious customers. But hey, if you want an illegal dragon egg or want to hear more about the three-headed dog trade, this is a good place to go]

Lucrezia may have her hood up, sitting there in a corner of the room, but the Slytherin colors of her shawl make it easier to spot her as a Hogwarts student. The butterbeer here taste terrible but they make a good alibi to stay and listen for any fascinating news. ]

The Shrieking Shack

[said to be the most haunted building in Britain, this old shack seems quiet from a distance. Do you dare get closer, or even explore it?]

[ Frodo's curiosity may be his undoing, but he knows he can easily apparate in and out of the shack should he encounter anything remotely dangerous during this small break from his house-elf duties. He walks slowly through the house and tries to keep as quiet as he can, now stopping by a window to peer out at the Whomping Willow trashing about outside.

The real danger may be the entrance rather than the destination. ]
