[it's Saturday, so it's time to kick back and enjoy the lovely sights of Hogsmeade. Have a drink at the Three Broomsticks, grab some sweets from Honeydukes, or dare to check out the famously haunted Shrieking Shack! Just kick back and enjoy yourselves today!

This other castle, Paradisa. It's got a couple hundred people, but I think there are more here. The plus side is we get to visit other places a lot. Downside being we never get to stay for very long.

[Carolina nods as she listens, her gaze pretty well locked on him like his had been on her when they first met.]

You travel around for most of your schooling?

Well, maybe not most of it. But it happens a lot, seems like. I guess it's a good way to learn new techniques, different cultures--

[He takes a drink of the butterbeer. Not bad.]

--new food and drink, that sort of thing. Makes us more, I don't know, aware of everybody than we would be otherwise.

[Carolina nods again and takes a sip of her butterbeer when it arrives. Mmm, tasty as always.]

I didn't know there were schools that did that. Does all the traveling ever get disruptive?

Far as I know it's only the one.

[And he nods, meeting her eyes again. God, she has such gorgeous green eyes when they're not accusing him of being the scum of the earth.]

And, well, yeah, I'd say it does. But on the other hand, some people learn better with a lot of variety and practical application than spending all day with books, you know?

[youfallback]

[Grinning over at him with some pretty obvious affection, she continues to nod along. Maybe the next time he pauses, she'll lean in for a kiss. Or maybe that's too forward. Maybe he's just looking for a tour guide. Maybe she's just being a little over the top.

But god he's so good-looking and charming and smart and like totally perfect.]

Are you one of those people?

[And he's not letting go of her gaze, not for a minute. He recognizes the signs of attraction well enough, and it's really hard to resist making out with her in the middle of the pub. Part of it has got to be those teenage hormones--but part of it, that rational voice in his mind that sounds an awful lot like Delta would if he weren't stuck as a frog right now, is just that seeing her happy and relatively carefree is so fresh and good. Was she ever really like this?]

I'd say so, yeah. I like working with my hands. More of a practical way of doing things, you know?

Yeah. [Carolina nods, feeling that urge to kiss him growing steadily until really she can't hold it in. She sets her butterbeer down and leans in to try and kiss him, albeit with some serious inexperience. It's not going to be anything like kissing adult!Carolina. ]

[Oh my god how adorable and cute. York kisses her back very gently, digging his nails into his palms at the effort to restrain himself. When he pulls away after a few nice long moments he's grinning like a maniac. He doesn't say anything, though, wanting to check her reaction.]

[She presses her lips against his in the only technique she knows (spoiler: it's not moving her lips). When he pulls back, she grins up at him in return. She always thought kisses would be better than wet and kind of sticky. Still, her face is bright with excitement.]

I like being practical, too.

[Oh, she'll get better at it. She'll be much better. But York keeps grinning and slips her hand into his under the table.]

I like that in someone. I like it a lot.

[youfallback]

[Oh that definitely sets her heart a fluttering. She grips his hand firmly in hers, still grinning at him. Any thoughts of butterbeer or anything besides her hormones and raging infatuation quickly disappears from her mind.]

Me too.

[Man, if this situation was even a little different, York would be working off some of that teenage libido right now. As it is, holding hands and doing some amateur kissing is...well, it's going to have to be enough. But this does mean that at the very least, there's some part of her that's drawn to him. That definitely counts for something.]

Kinda makes me wish I could be here a little longer. Or maybe visit once school's out.

[youfallback]

[She considers that for a moment before nodding. Honestly, she wishes he could be here longer than a week. It would make more sense for him to want to visit after getting to know each other and maybe even dating, but as it is, he'll be leaving in a few days and that'll be that.]

But we barely know each other. [It's not like they've been dating for years or anything after all. They met less than a couple hours ago and have kissed all of once.]

Well, yeah. But then I could really get to know you. See if--you know, if it might be worth coming back for a third visit.

[He's not going to use the cliche line of "but I feel like I know you", he's not going to....]

Or you could visit me. Ever been to New York?

[youfallback]

No. Is that where you'll be going after the school year? [Because despite her prior question, she's certainly still interested.]

You'd come back here to see me?

[encryptedlock]

Uh-huh. Get back there every time I can. It's definitely something you want to see if you get a chance.

[And he squeezes her hand. He'd fly all through space to see her again, if she wanted to see him.]

Sure, why not? I like it here. And I think I like you, too.

[youfallback]

[Carolina's grin stretches wider at his answer, full of a happiness and not bridled with past experiences or mistrust or paranoia. ] I do, too. [And she leans in for another attempt at a kiss. This one is just as novice as the first.]

[encryptedlock]

[He'll put a little more skill into this one, not really caring if anyone else is watching. She tastes like butterbeer, but that's fine by him. And he even gets a little flushed after a little while when he pulls away.]

So, uh. Maybe we should plan to meet up again while I'm still here, huh?

[youfallback]

[Consdering this is the farthest she's ever gotten with a guy, she is definitely pink in the face and neck. Hoo buddy, the mental images she has right now. Carolina nods with obvious excitement.]

How about tonight? And tomorrow? [And pretty much every day until he left.]

I'll see you right after dinner, then. Main hall.

[Maybe she won't kill him when they get back. Maybe.]

[youfallback]

[She nods again, grin stretching from ear to ear.] After dinner.

[After a brief pause,] Do you have to be anywhere right now?

[encryptedlock]

[His eyebrows shoot up, and he is of course still grinning.]

Nope. No plans for the day off, besides check out this village--done.

[youfallback]

[Carolina's excitement rises at his answer.] What about hanging out until dinner? Or we could study in the library.

[Doesn't the studying sound fun!]

We should definitely hang out until dinner. [Studying? Seriously? Well. If she can't think of anything better to do with a seventh-year who's totally into her, he supposes they can study.]
