[ She chases the eyeball down, picking a hair off of it as she shoots him a frown and replaces it on the shelf. ]

[He belatedly remembers hearing about people who are convinced this has always been their lives. Which is the only reason he manages to bite back a snarky comment about there actually being an appropriate house.]

You seriously don't remember him? [He sounds doubtful.] How about Rock, you didn't misplace his flaming butt somewhere, did you. He'll burn down the whole castle if you let him run loose like a feral volcano.

[ Jade fixes Dave with a very carefully incredulous look. Yup, she's cursed as hell and has absolutely no idea. ]

[If Dave actually believed he was a wizard, his false memories might include something along the lines of hitting Rock with an accidental engorgement charm and blaze side effect, back in their early school days. As it is, he hopefully won't fuck anything up too badly with any miscast spells.]

Yes, Jade, I am talking about your giant flaming rat with leash issues. Seriously, I don't know why you even put him on a leash, it's not like anyone's gonna throw down with pet legalese and expect you to spin a full diss track as rebuttal.
