[Carson was in the clinic when the power went out, and when he heard the evacuation orders, and as soon as he does, he's standing up immediately, walking out and up the stairs. As he walks, he has his journal out.]

Good afternoon, everyone. I'm the floor captain for floor six, Dr. Carson Beckett. Could everyone please come out of their rooms and meet in the hallway? Can you also bring candles, torches, anything that can give off some light.

Those residents not in their rooms, can I ask if you can go to the Ballroom immediately. And, everyone? Stay calm. Please.

[And to the castle in general.]

Anyone requiring medical attention should know that the clinic is still open. Anyone who can't find their way to the clinic should report their last known location to myself or a member of the clinic staff. Someone will be with you as soon as we can.

[This done, Carson finally realises the creepy noises going on, the creaks and groans. He's trying to ignore them, but he's obviously spooked]

Agent Carolina has initiated the evacuation protocol. Residents are asked to assemble in the ballroom. It's just a wee precaution because of the-

[There's an audiable creak over the journal, and when Carson speaks again, he sounds spooked]

[dryly] Yes, I'm sure that attitude will calm everyone on our floor immensely.

If you like, however, I can assist in escorting people downstairs.

[There's a serious-looking girl wandering down the hall with her staff clutched in both hands. She could be patrolling, or looking for someone, but it seems nerves have gotten to her, too.

Military training or not, she's on edge. A castle ghost wanders blithely by-- and sends Tear into a fit of squealing and whimpering, ducking against the wall until it's gone.

How embarrassing.]

[At that scream, Carson's running to find out who it is. He notices that it's someone he knows by name, and walks over.]

Tear? Are you okay?

[melodist]

[She straightens immediately, still looking freaked out but very adamant. And a bit ridiculous.]

I-I'm fine! There's nothing wrong at all!

Are you sure? Nothing wrong?

[He's genuinely being concerned]

I'd recommend moving anyone who's not needing immediate attention to the ballroom. Agent Carolina's turned that into a safe point.

That's good. Means the castle hasn't released any beasties to prey on people in the dark.

It is entirely possible that nothing may happen.

[He'll run into Conan halfway down the sixth floor. He was using the flashlight built into his watch to make his way through all the hallways of the castle.]

[And he very nearly does bump into Conan]

[Carson himself is holding a torch, which seems duller than it should. As though it was running low on batteries]

[Conan swiftly turns off his light to save the batteries.]

[Carson seems to relax visibly.]
