[Paradisa is a strange place; Galadriel has known this for some time. Yet she never quite imagined that she'd find herself knocking on Thranduil's door, holding an egg and a note.]

[Later, you can find Galadriel out on the grounds of the castle, sitting under a tree, watching a little fawn sized unicorn frolicking nearby. The little critter is a curious little thing and, if you're interesting enough, she might even approach- cautiously, of course.]

Firethroat watches the foal lazily as she approaches. The baby is too small to make a meal and Firethroat has no inclination to go out of her way to kill unicorns. Still, she is not terribly surprised when Galadriel picks her up. Lifting her head off the ground, she offers a small nod in return.]
I have, thank you. I see you have found a young one since we last met.

No, though I do not see why one would bless me with a unicorn foal. [It would do neither of them much good.]

Interesting. It has been some time since I have seen a dragon hatching.

[A pause] If you should see this particular hatchling on the grounds, I would urge you to slow and cautious in your approach. He was given to the care of two elves from my own world and we... [How to put this delicately...] have something of an unfortunate history with dragons.

[Firethroat narrows her eyes slightly and smoke rises from her nose a bit thicker than before. She remembers another species who has had a rough history with dragons, more unfortunate for the dragons in her mind. However, she is not so naive as to believe that all dragons are bystanders in such conflicts. The young do have a tendency to be more aggressive and hot tempered. All it would take is for one elf to kill the wrong dragon's mate, and it could quickly escalate to include innocents. So despite the intimidating body language, Firethroat closes her eyes in understanding.]
Is that so? I will take that into consideration, but bear in mind, we dragons also have an unfortunate history with mankind. However, it has no stopped me from dealing with the humans here in a fair and civil manner.

Would that the dragons of our home were but half so generous. As things stand, I imagine you would more likely be greeted with fear than with aggression, if that is your concern; I warn you for their sake, rather than your own. [The reaction of any sensible elf upon seeing a dragon is to flee. Which means Galadriel could be considered less than sensible, she supposes, but befriending a (shape shifting) dragon tends to change your perspective on things.]

That is how most aggression starts, with fear. All it takes is one spark to set it off. However, I will keep your warning in mind, both for your allies' sake and my own.
[She would rather avoid a dragon hunt, thank you very much.]

With fear, anger, greed, conflicting loyalties- it is all too easy to start. [She gives a little nod.] You have my thanks.
