Because she decided that I needed a babysitter. She is camping on my floor.

Do you need a babysitter? Dairi likes to take care of people, but they do usually need it.

[She meant that almost literally, you know. There's the distinct 'pop' of displaced air following a transport spell and then Nita's standing in the center of the room, trying not to look too amused.]

[Conan is sitting on his bed and glaring darkly at the sleeping bag that has taken up his floor. He doesn't even react at the sudden appearance. He'd been putting up with Dairine pulling the same stunt for months.]

[Dairine ignores the dark looks Conan is sending her, long used to them by now. At the familiar 'pop,' she sits up from the sleeping bag to see where her big sister has arrived. Her expression looks just as annoyed as Conan's, and it's not because of Nita.]

It's his fault. [She starts automatically. As far as she's concerned, it's true too.]

How far back are we talking here, Neets? [If she wants too many details, she'll have to bug Conan into spilling more secrets. But if they're lucky, they won't have to say that much.]

Why? Because he followed our group into the woods without telling anyone, which nearly got him killed. [She shoots a glare at Conan.] Not to mention he did this while he was still recovering from a gunshot wound.

Like you haven't done worse! [About a million times worse, at that! Though, Dair is a wizard, so that makes it not as bad. She thinks. But still.

She crosses her arms.]

There's got to be a compromise here.
