There's a giant panda and a little red panda curled up in the lobby, looking forlornly at the tower stairs. How were they supposed to ask Carolina for help if they had to climb all of those? And why isn't there any bamboo nearby?]

[The panda and red panda both wave paws at her, with the little red one scrambling shyly closer for a better view.]

[She griiiiiins. SOCUTE. Flipping up to her feet she moves closer, reaching out to scoop up the little red panda]

[Daine's entering the castle from outside, and by the looks of her, she was out there for a while. There may be some errant leaves or straw in her curls, but she takes no notice, especially when she spots the panda(s) in the lobby.]

Hello? [She speaks out loud to alert anyone passing by that she's... talking to a bear.]

[When he talks back, it is of course in the grumbles and growls of pandaspeak.]

[It takes her a moment, but she smiles and nods.]

I'm sorry to say, that would be correct.

[Spartan stops to take in the sight of the pandas. Considering everything that happened on Leap Day, she's not as surprised as she would have been otherwise.]

[BB flashes on to muse aloud.] Do you think they're leftovers from February, or someone's pets?

I haven't the slightest clue.

[York snorts and shakes his head, while Delta chitters in an annoyed fashion. Who are you calling pets?]

[Naomi goes still a moment, trying to decipher if those noises had been intentional, but BB is already two steps ahead of her and pulling his holographic form closer to their level.]

I think we've got a pair of sentient pandas on our hands, Naomi. Better break out the Chess board and Sudoku!

Sentient Pandas. [But she's kneeling, because hey -- if there can be sentient ponies, why not sentient pandas?]

[and there's a hyperactive blue filly popping up to say] Hi!

[They look over at her curiously, and the little red one shyly inches closer and chirps a hello in pandaspeak.]

[there's a giggle and she leans in for a quick nuzzle. There aren't a lot of things here that don't tower over her, so this is a nice change of pace.]

[looking at both the big one and the small one.]

[York holds up his paws in a sort of "not really" gesture, then ambles over to Jorge to sniff at him curiously. Any bamboo?]

[Jorge smells... Well, of metal, really. He just kinda stares at the panda.]

[Washington just happened to be patrolling the lobby today. And damn. He remembers hearing about a loss like this before. Pandas.] Looks like you're having a hell of a day. Again?

[Wishing up some bamboo to hold out as a hesitant peace offering.]

[York just nods. Yep, it had been some time, but here they were again. Delta chitters at him curiously as he holds out the bamboo, but York stays where he is and just looks at Wash.

It's not poisoned, you know. Just normal bamboo.

[The voice comes a little to the side, where Rookie was currently watching the two bears with a slanted tilt of his helmet. Though he's heard about York's panda loss before, he wasn't about to assume it was them just yet.]

[York tilts his head up to one side. Nap? Oh, a nap does sound like fun, actually. He waves one paw up at the Rookie.]

[And he waves back. Felt odd to do, sure, but wouldn't be his first run in with sentient animals or residents on losses. Which is why he'll make a point to move closer.]

That you, York? [Better to ask and get it out of the way than spend the rest of the afternoon guessing, really.]

[Well Carolina's eventually on her way back down, post-training, post-shower, and post-arming. There's still a bunch of damage from the giant squid in her bathroom, so it makes things a bit difficult. She's planning to just take a quick walk around before going back up to continue repairs, but there's two pandas sitting in the lobby. Halting mid-step, she turns and pauses before approaching. York always mentioned hating being a panda and that Delta made a very cute red panda, so that's her first guess.]

York. Delta. [Grinning underneath her helmet. Yeah, he's not super fierce like this.]

[York makes a happy noise and both of them shuffle over to her, with Delta jumping onto York's back and clinging there. York bumps his head up against her torso, grinning a bear grin up at her.

[York, have a seven-year-old staring at you from across the lobby. He's got an action figure tucked tightly in one hand as he slowly makes his way over. He's seen a lot so far in his time in the Castle, and now he can add pandas to that list. ]
