What kind of species exist in Paradisa? I know we're all not human - [ elena isn't ] - but that hasn't affected the way we co-exist, has it?
[ she's been hearing things about talking ponies which do not exist in her world as far as she knows. considering mystic falls is rich with vampires, witches, werewolves and doppelgangers, elena's not new to the rainbow civilisation. she thinks this might help her settle in just a little more; see how special everyone else is and see how ordinary she is in comparison.
... and she's jealous she hasn't really met a talking pony yet. goal for 2012: befriend one. ]
Are there any species that are no longer here?

They've already taken away so much from us, I wonder if there is a price for 'wishing' as well.

It's smart to avoid wishing. I've been here a while and I feel like I've learnt it the hard way.

[A pause before he continues writing]
As far as I understand it, as long as we are here, our initial loss will remain missing. At least, I haven't heard of anyone having anything returned to them.
I'm sorry that you must go without.

[ ... ]
So, you've figured out your loss? I still have no clue what mine is. And that can't be the loss I have upon entering the castle because that's what most people are experiencing.
no subject
...Yes. It's a bit hard to explain, but it's something very precious to me.

I've heard people lose abilities, too. I'm hoping it's a memory. It just doesn't help that my friends are from ... the future.

From the future?

[ and it doesn't make sleeping at night any easier. she ignores it, for the most part, but it kills her not knowing what happens later in the future. ]
Do you have people from home here?
no subject
...No. I haven't noticed anyone, at least.
no subject
I hope you do. Everyone here is really nice, but it helps having a familiar face around.

[Oh, but Ukitake never minds being 'dumped' on :3]
As for my own people, they are where they belong, so I suppose I shouldn't have a problem with it. Still, you're right, it is always easier to face difficulties if you have a friend with you.

At least you know they're safe. [ or are they? she really doesn't know. ] I like to think time stops there - and the only people you need to worry about are here. This place isn't the kindest of castles.

[Though many were lost on the way to defeating Aizen. He pushes the thought aside.]
...No, it's not. I have heard that time is supposed to stop, as well, in some way, though I can't say I've experienced it.

[That was complicated...]
I'm told I was here before, but I have no memory of it. In a way, I suppose that is evidence of time stopping, but since I can't recall it, I can't say I've experienced it either.
You pose a good question, one which I don't think can be answered easily.

Is it weird? People telling you thinks you can't remember.

...and yes. I found it rather strange, and a bit invasive. Things I thought were private were no longer so, to some people.
[a pause.]
But I've learned to adapt, since then. No real harm seems to have come of it.

I always thought these journals would be really useful in this kind of situation. I always write things down - even before coming here - just in case I need to remember something in the future.

Though, I've heard that some people have left and come back with their memories in tact. I think it really depends upon the person. Perhaps some of us are issued new journals?

I hope that your loss isn't anything horrible. I really wish there were no such thing as losses, here. It's horrible to not know what the castle has taken from you.
