What kind of species exist in Paradisa? I know we're all not human - [ elena isn't ] - but that hasn't affected the way we co-exist, has it?

[ she's been hearing things about talking ponies which do not exist in her world as far as she knows. considering mystic falls is rich with vampires, witches, werewolves and doppelgangers, elena's not new to the rainbow civilisation. she thinks this might help her settle in just a little more; see how special everyone else is and see how ordinary she is in comparison.

I'm buying getting myself a new diary. I know it's late, but my other one ... I feel like I should keep this tradition up. So, I was wondering if anyone wanted one?

A filled one?

It hasn't been thrown up on any walls yet, but it's kind of full. A new diary for a new year is something I like to do. Maybe I can get you a diary that's anti-walls.

Buy one in town. Maybe then the wish for a new, blank diary won't go awry.

Maybe I could get Bonnie to cast a spell to prevent castle intervention. Is that what happened with our walls?

I believe I came across a dragon once, in the kitchen. I'm relatively new here, though, so I can't say I've seen any species disappear.

[ she was not expecting a dragon. ] That must have been quite a sight if you're new here.

How big was it?

Not as big as I normally picture dragons, but big enough to destroy the icebox. It was a bit difficult to clean up.

I am not sure you should... call them species. More like the peoples of different worlds. Some are still represented, others are not. In which case, there is a large amount. Even I have not met everyone here.

Oh, I should apologise, then. I didn't mean any offense. It's just how they are in my world. [ wow, not winning any points here, elena. ] Who have you met? I only know of a few people and I was just curious to know if some of the legends back home were realities here.

I suppose some of them might be. No one I have met has been a 'legend' in my world, but then as I have found my world is somewhat obscure in the scheme of things.

I've heard that there are many different species who have lived here at some time or another. But some of them are bad, aren't they? Do mean things to people.

[ she pauses, thinking. ] I think it's the choices they make and not who they are that makes them bad.

I know some very nice vampires, and they're not as bad as the legends depict them to be.

But all vampires are soulless. And they commit the most horrible of crimes. Are they not accountable for what they do? How can a vampire be nice? They need to feed on human blood. And they have no conscience.

Personally I've come across ponies, dragons, and trolls, such as myself.
Regardless of the diversity in species, however, I can't help 8ut notice that the castle holds a certain preference for human customs and holidays.
It isn't much of a shock. Far as I can tell, humans do hold the majority around here, so it's only fair.

We do have a few. 12th Perigree's Eve is the most popular, 8ut there are a few other minor cele8r8tions throughout the sweep.
8ut it would 8e difficult to cele8r8 them here. Even the time system here is human.
